Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai implementasi manajemen kelas berbasis life skill dalam membentuk karakter mandiri dan tanggungjawab pada peserta didik Anak Usia Dini di Padang Besar Child Development Center Thailand. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Data diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara langsung kepada narasumber dan melalui dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 3 langkah dalam melaksanakan manajemen kelas berbasis life skill yakni melalui perencanaan kelas, pelaknasaan kelas dan juga evaluasi. Pada tahap perencanaan Padang Besar Child Development Center Thailand melakukan pengorganisasian oleh kepala sekolah dengan pembagian tugas kepada guru dalam penyiapan lingkungan belajar, menyiapkan strategi dan metode yang digunakan sesuai dengan prosedur yang telah ditetapkan, menyusun kegiatan pembelajaran life skill melalui kegiatan terjadwal di kelas maupun kegiatan di luar kelas, menggununakan strategi dan metode yang bervariatif, melakukan keteladanan dan pembiasaan pada peserta didik melalui jadwal aktivitas pembelajaran dan cerita keseharian. Pada tahap evaluasi kepala sekolah dan guru mengevaluasi aktivitas dan perkembangan peserta didik selama pembelajaran di kelas, mengevaluasi kinerja guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran baik dari strategi dan media yang digunakan untuk selalu dilakukan perbaikan, selain itu evaluasi dilakukan pada akhir semester melalui penilaian terhadap perkembangan peserta didik bedasarkan penilaian keseharian sesuai dengan capaian-capaian yang telah ditetapkan. Manajemen kelas berbasis life skill ini sesuai dengan kurikulum serta visi dan misi sekolah yang telah dilakukan sinergi dengan berbagai pihak sekolah dengan tujuan agar menajemen kelas berbasis life skill ini berjalan dengan baik sesuai dengan tujuan yang telah ditetapkan.

This study aims to describe the implementation of life skill-based classroom management in forming independent character and responsibility in early childhood students at the Padang Besar Child Development Center, Thailand. This study used qualitative research methods. Data obtained from observations, direct interviews with sources and through documentation. The results of the study show that there are 3 steps in carrying out life skill-based classroom management namely through class planning, class implementation and also evaluation. At the planning stage, the Padang Besar Child Development Center Thailand is organized by the principal by dividing tasks to teachers in preparing the learning environment, preparing strategies and methods used in accordance with predetermined procedures, compiling life skills learning activities through scheduled activities in class and activities in outside the classroom by accompanying, supervising and providing direction so that life skill activities are embedded in student habituation. At the implementation stage it is carried out by adjusting the conditions and climate of the class so that students feel ready and comfortable in the process of playing and learning, using various strategies and methods, setting an example and habituating students through a schedule of learning activities and daily stories. In the evaluation stage the principal and teacher evaluate the activities and development of students during class learning, evaluate the teacher's performance in carrying out learning both from the strategy and media used to always make improvements, besides that the evaluation is carried out at the end of the semester through an assessment of student development based on daily assessment in accordance with the achievements that have been set. This life skill-based class management is in accordance with the curriculum as well as the vision and mission of the school which has been carried out in synergy with various school parties with the aim that this life skill-based class management runs well in accordance with the goals set.
