Pengenalan bentuk geometri merupakan salah satu sub yang termasuk dalam pembelajaran matematika, maka perlunya pengenalan bentuk geometri diajaran kepada anak usia dini karena menjadi salah satu bekal dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk pendidikan selanjutnya. Banyaknya permasalahan yang mengenai rendahnya kemampuan anak dalam mengenal bentuk geometri disebabkan jarangnya penggunaan media dan kurangknya inovasi dalam menggunakan kegiatan ataupun media. Oleh karena itu, dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan sebuah produk yaitu media dakon geometri. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan produk media dakon geometri yang layak dan efektif digunakan sebagai pembelajaran dalam mengenal bentuk geometri (lingkaran, segitiga, dan segi empat) pada anak usia 4-5 tahun.
Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development) dengan jenis prosedur penelitian pengembangan Borg & Gall. Desain penelitian menggunakan quasi experimental desaign jenis noneequivalen control group design. Penelitian dilakukan di TK Bina Tunas Bangsa sebagai uji kelayakan dengan jumlah 2 anak, 5 anak dan TK Hidayatullah sebagai uji kelayakan dan keefektifan media dengan jumlah 10 anak. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi, lembar validasi, lembar angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif.
Hasil penelitian pengembangan ini berupa desain media dakon geometri, yang didukung oleh penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media yang memberikan saran pada lembar validasi, observasi, dan kegiatan permainan dakon geometri. Hasil uji coba produk memperoleh 75% dan 76,87% menyatakan bahwa media dakon geometri sudah layak digunakan dan mendapat saran dari guru berupa cara penggunaan lubang kecil berisi biji bentuk geometri dikelompokkan sesuai dengan warna dan bentuk dan pemberian tanda panah serta start di media. Hasil uji coba kelompok besar menyatakan bahwa media dakon geometri sudah layak digunakan dan tidak mendapat saran. Hasil uji keefektifan yang dilakukan di TK Hidayatullah pada kelas kontrol dan eksperimen yaitu memperoleh hasil nilai rata-rata kenaikan selisih postest - pretest pada data kelompok eksperimen sebesar 4,6 sedangkan kelompok kontrol sebesar 3,4 sehingga disimpulkan bahwa media dakon geometri layak dan efektif digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran pengenalan bentuk geometri pada anak usia 4-5 tahun.

The introduction of geometry is one of the sub included in mathematics learning. So the need for introduction of geometric shapes taught to early childhood since it is one of the provisions in learning mathematics for further education. There are many problems regarding the low ability of children to recognize geometric shapes due to the rare use of media and the lack of innovation in using activities or media. Therefore, in this study a product was developed, namely dacon geometry media. The purpose of this research is to develop dacon geometry media products that are appropriate and effective to be used as learning tools in recognizing geometric shapes (circles, triangles, and rectangles) for children aged 4-5 years.
The type of this research is research and development with research procedure developed type by Borg & Gall. The research design used is quasi experimental design with the type of nonequivalent control group design. The research was conducted at Bina Tunas Bangsa Kindergarten and Hidayatullah Kindergarten. The study at Bina Tunas Bangsa Kindergarten was carried out as a feasibility test with a total of 2 children, 5 children while Hidayatullah Kindergarten was as a test of the feasibility and effectiveness of the media with a total of 10 children. The instrument of data collection used were observation sheets, validation sheets, questionnaire sheets, and documentation. The data analysis technique used in this ressearch was descriptive quantitative.
The results of this development study are in the form of dacon geometry media design, which is supported by the assessment of material experts and media experts who provide advice on the sheets of validation, observation, and dacon geometry game activities. The results of the product trial which are 75% and 76,87% stated that the dacon geometry media is feasible to use. Whereas from the teacher, advice was obtained on how to use it, namely a small hole containing the seeds of a geometric shape grouped according to the color and shape and giving arrows as well as the start sign on the media. The results of a large group trial stated that dacon geometry media was suitable for use and did not get advice. In the effectiveness test carried out at Hidayatullah Kindergarten, in the control and experimental classes, the average increase value in the posttest-pretest difference of the experimental group was 4.6 while the control group was 3.4. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the dacon geometry media is feasible and effective to be used in learning activities on the introduction of geometric shapes in children aged 4-5 years.
