Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektifitas massage dan stretching terhadap kondisi tubuh semula pada saat jeda bertanding bagi pemain sepak bola.
Penelitian eksperimental ini menggunakan rancangan pre and post control group design. Sampel diambil dari populasi menggunakan metode Simple Random Sampling menjadi 5 kelompok yaitu Kelompok Perlakuan Massage (K1), Kelompok Perlakuan Massage Mustang (K2), Kelompok Perlakuan Stretching (K3), Kelompok Perlakuan Stretching Mustang (K4), Kelompok Kontrol (duduk istirahat) (K5). Sebayak 45 orang pria sehat berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini. Masing-masing kelompok dilakukan pre-test dengan mengambil data Nyeri, ROM dan kadar asam laktat. Setelah pre-test, maka sampel penelitian pada semua kelompok melakukan lari treadmill dengan intensitas maksimal (90-95% DN maksimal). 5 menit setelah melakukan lari treadmill, sampel penelitian dilakukan post-test 1 dengan mengukur Nyeri, ROM dan kadar asam laktat. Setelah itu diberikan perlakuan massage, massage mustang, stretching, stretching mustang selama 10 menit sesuai kelompoknya masing-masing. Setelah perlakuan, sampel diukur kembali (post-test 2) Nyeri, ROM, dan kadar asam laktatnya. Intensitas nyeri diukur menggunakan skala VAS, ROM diukur mrnggunakan goniometer, dan kadar asam laktat diukur menggunakan laktat meter. Analisis statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu uji Manova dan uji Post Hoc.
Hasil penelitian ini melaporkan bahwa perlakuan massage, massage mustang, stretching, dan stretching mustang selama 10 menit berpengaruh signifikan dapat menurunkan asam laktat, rasa nyeri dan meningkatkan ruang gerak sendi (ROM) (p<0.05).
Dapat disimpulan bahwa perlakuan massage, massage mustang, stretching, dan stretching mustang selama 10 menit berpotensi dapat menurunkan asam laktat, rasa nyeri dan meningkatkan ruang gerak sendi (ROM). Intervensi Massage mustang merupakan perlakuan yang paling efektif dalam menurunkan penumpukan asam laktat dibandingkan pemberian massage, stretching dan stretching mustang namun tidak lebih baik ketika menurunkan rasa nyeri dan meningkatkan ruang gerak sendi (ROM).

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of massage and stretching on the original body condition during breaks in competition for soccer players.
This experimental research uses a pre and post control group design. Samples were taken from the population using the Simple Random Sampling method into 5 groups, namely Massage Treatment Group (K1), Mustang Massage Treatment Group (K2), Stretching Treatment Group (K3), Mustang Stretching Treatment Group (K4), Control Group (sitting for rest) (K5). A total of 45 healthy men participated in this study. Each group underwent a pre-test by taking data on pain, ROM and lactic acid levels. After the pre-test, the research samples in all groups did treadmill running at maximum intensity (90-95% maximum DN). 5 minutes after running on the treadmill, the research sample underwent post-test 1 by measuring pain, ROM and lactic acid levels. After that, they were given massage, mustang massage, stretching, mustang stretching for 10 minutes according to each group. After treatment, the samples were measured again (post-test 2) for pain, ROM, and lactic acid levels. Pain intensity was measured using the VAS scale, ROM was measured using a goniometer, and lactic acid levels were measured using a lactate meter. The statistical analysis used in this research is the Manova test and Post Hoc test.
The results of this study reported that massage, mustang massage, stretching and mustang stretching for 10 minutes had a significant effect in reducing lactic acid, pain and increasing joint range of motion (ROM) (p<0.05).
It can be concluded that massage, mustang massage, stretching and mustang stretching for 10 minutes has the potential to reduce lactic acid, pain and increase joint movement (ROM). Massage mustang intervention is the most effective treatment in reducing the buildup of lactic acid compared to providing massage, stretching and stretching the mustang, but it is not better when it comes to reducing pain and increasing joint range of motion (ROM).
