REPRESENTATION OF REVENGE PORN IN THE FILM “LIKE &
SHARE” (A SEMIOTIC ANALYSIS BY ROLAND BARTHES)
Film "Like & Share" garapan Gina S. Noer merupakan gambaran mendalam
mengenai dampak kekerasan seksual, terutama revenge porn, pada korban remaja
perempuan. Film ini menggambarkan dominasi pelaku dan ketidakberdayaan
korban, serta mengungkap realitas patriarkal dan misoginis. Pelaku sering luput
dari hukuman yang pantas, sementara korban sering disalahkan atau victim
blaming. Melalui analisis semiotika Roland Barthes, penelitian ini menemukan
representasi kekerasan seksual dalam film tersebut. Dengan menggunakan metode
kualitatif, peneliti meneliti kondisi ilmiah melalui pendekatan deskriptif yang
kritis. Harapannya, penelitian ini dapat memberikan kontribusi berharga dalam
Ilmu Komunikasi serta meningkatkan kesadaran dan sensitivitas sosial terhadap
isu-isu kekerasan seksual beserta dampaknya. Film merupakan alat untuk seniman
dan pegiat film mengekspresikan gagasan dan ide cerita yang memiliki kekuatan
untuk mempengaruhi masyarakat.

The film "Like & Share" directed by Gina S. Noer is an in-depth depiction of
the impact of sexual violence, particularly revenge porn, on teenage female victims.
The film portrays the dominance of the perpetrators and the helplessness of the
victims, while also revealing the patriarchal and misogynistic realities where
perpetrators often escape deserved punishment, and victims frequently face blame
or victim blaming. Through Roland Barthes semiotic analysis, this study uncovers
the representation of sexual violence in the film. Using qualitative methods, the
researcher examines scientific conditions through a critical descriptive approach.
It is hoped that this research can make a valuable contribution to Communication
Studies and raise social awareness and sensitivity towards issues of sexual violence
and its impacts. Films are a tool for artists and filmmakers to express ideas and
stories that have the power to influence society.
