This research aims
to determine the effect of the finger playing method on the ability of
creativity and the ability to express language in children aged 5-6 years in
kindergarten, Sukolilo Regency, Surabaya.
This research is a quasi quantitative
research experimental method with a pretest-posttest
control group design research design conducted in kindergarten District
Sukolilo Surabaya with a sample of 107 children. Research data obtained through
observation, work and documentation, then analyzed using statistics with ANOVA
test with the help of SPSS 25 For Windows. The results showed the finger
painting playing method affected the ability of creativity, as evidenced from
the Anova test the Fcount value of 187.516 was greater than the Ftable of 3.15.
The method of playing finger painting has an effect on the ability to express
language, as evidenced by the Anova test, the Fcount value of 160.922 is
greater than the Ftable of 3.15. While the finger painting playing method
affects the ability of creativity and the ability to express language, as
evidenced from the MANOVA test, the Fcount value of 165.122 is greater than the
Ftable value of 3.15. So the method of playing finger painting affects the
ability of creativity and the ability to express language.
Based on the results of data
analysis, it can be concluded that the method of playing finger painting
affects the ability of creativity and the ability to express language in
children aged 5-6 years, Finger painting method can be used as one of the
learning methods to develop children's abilities, especially creativity and
express the language of children aged 5-6 years in childhood.
