This study aims to examine the effect of the beam
center learning model on the cognitive and language development of group A
children in Zainuddin Waru Kindergarten, Sidoarjo Regency. This type of
research uses an experiment with a quantitative approach. The variables in this
study consisted of one independent variable and two dependent variables. The independent
variable in this study is the beam center learning model (X). While the
dependent variable in the study is cognitive development (Y1) and language
development (Y2). The samples in this study were 99 children, 50 Zainuddin
kindergarten children in the experimental group (25 children A-1 and 25
children A-2) and 49 children in the control group, 25 children A-3 and 24
children A-4). The data analysis technique in this study used non-parametric
statistics, the Kruskal Wallis test.
The results showed that (1) there was an influence of
the beam center learning model on the cognitive development of group A children
in Zainuddin Waru Kindergarten, Sidoarjo Regency, statistically the significant
level value of p = 0.07 was less than 5%; (2) the influence of the beam center
learning model on the language development of group A children in Zainuddin
Waru Sidoarjo Kindergarten, statistically the significant level value of p =
0.07 is smaller than 5%. This study is expected to add insight to teachers in
developing the beam center learning model, especially in the cognitive and
language development of group A children at Zainuddin Waru Kindergarten
Sidoarjo
The results of this study serve as a reference and a
basis for conducting a more comprehensive research on the effect of the beam
center learning model through unit block building activities on the cognitive
and language development of group A children in Zainuddin Kindergarten. Waru
District, Sidoarjo Regency.
