THE INFLUENCE OF CHARACTERISTIC INNOVATION, TRUST, AND SELF EFFICACY ON ADOPTION INTENTIO
WEARABLE DEVICE

At present, the growth of
devices that can be used is increasing in Indonesia. This is shown by the
interests of consumers who support wearable devices such as smartwatches, this
is related to this product helping people in helping them motivate consumers to
develop healthy lifestyles.
However, of the majority of
consumers who have used a smartwatch, they tend to go smartwatch because they
do not benefit from these usable devices. This is driven by factors of damage
and boredom and the motivation of someone to use a smartwatch is relatively
short. Therefore, being
able to be a consumer supporter in the millennial generation which is a
generation that is directly exposed will affect technology.
Besides that, their lifestyle
cannot be separated from expression and freedom.
Related to the purpose of this study is to study
whether it is related to the characteristics of innovation, trust and self-efficacy on adoption intention of the device that can be
used on smartwatch users.
In this study a quantitative
study, with 220 respondents using questionnaires distributed through online
research with the characteristics of respondents who have never used a
smartwatch at least to study the product type of smartwatch and the average age
of 16 until 36 years using non probability sampling techniques with sampling methods
judgment.
Data analysis using multiple linear
regression analysis. Which concludes the relative advantages and self-efficacy to significantly influence the
dependent variable of adoption intention. Whereas the compatibility, complexity
and trust variables show insignificant results on adoption intentions, so this
variable does not emphasize the intention to adopt a smartwatch.
