The purpose of this study was to determine
the effect of teacher pedagogic competence
on cognitive and language development of children aged 5-6 years at RA Nurul Jadid Ketawang Karay, Ganding District,
Sumenep Regency. This research
was conducted through a quantitative approach. The method used in this research is the experimental method.
This research has a "One-Shot Case Study" design. That is, by design, a group is given treatment, and then
the results are observed. The data
analysis technique used MANOVA (Multivariate Analysis of Variance) analysis. The data analysis
technique in this study used statistical methods assisted by Microsoft Excel and
IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for The Social
Science) version 23.0 in calculating
the data. The subjects of the study were the children of group B RA Nurul
Jadid, totaling 23 children. Research data were
collected through questionnaires (questionnaire) and observation. The first conclusion from the results
of the data analysis shows that the Teacher's Pedagogic
Competence has an influence on the Cognitive
development of Group B
children at RA Nurul Jadid, and the second conclusion is that the Teacher's Pedagogic Competence has an influence on
the language development of Group B children
at RA Nurul Jadid. The implication of this research is for teachers to continuously improve their professionalism as PAUD teachers,
especially in terms of Pedagogic Competence so that
teacher competence is maximized. In addition,
the teacher's Pedagogic Competence can be a solution in improving the cognitive
and language development of children in group B.
