Peran Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling dalam Upaya Mencegah Perilaku Bullying di Sekolah Menengah Pertama
The Role of Guidance and Counseling Teachers in an attempted to Prevent The Bullying Behavior in Junior High School
Bullying merupakan salah satu bentuk tindakan intimidasi yang dilakukan oleh seseorang atau sekelompok orang berupa tindakan fisik, psikis, pelecehan seksual, verbal, agresif, yang mengakibatkan dampak negatif bagi psikologis korban bullying sehingga menimbulkan trauma jangka pendek atau panjang. Peranan utama guru bimbingan dan konseling di sekolah yaitu sebagai terapis, konsultan, koordinator, agen perubahan, assessor, pengembang karier, dan agen pencegahan. Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling sebagai agen pencegahan berperan dalam upaya mencegah terjadinya permasalahan yang dapat menghambat (perilaku bullying) perkembangan peserta didik yang diwujudkan melalui program atau layanan bimbingan dan konseling yang berupaya preventif.
Pada penelitian studi kepustakaan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji literatur ilmiah tentang peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam upaya untuk mencegah perilaku bullying di sekolah menengah pertama. Penelitian ini memakai metode penelitian studi kepustakaan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian adalah teknik dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan di penelitian merupakan teknik analisis isi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai kajian pustaka tentang peran guru bimbingan dan konseling dalam upaya untuk mencegah perilaku bullying di sekolah menengah pertama, meliputi : 1) konsep dasar perilaku bullying (definisi, faktor penyebab, dan jenis bullying). Bullying merupakan suatu bentuk penindasan secara fisik, verbal, mental maupun gender yang dilakukan oleh perseorangan atau kelompok untuk mencari identitas diri dengan menyalahgunakan kekuasaan terhadap individu yang lebih lemah dilakukan dengan berulang-ulang hingga mengganggu aktivitas serta merugikan korban dan berdampak negatif pada fisik maupun psikisnya., 2) pelaksanaan program dan layanan bimbingan konseling di sekolah menengah pertama dalam upaya mencegah perilaku bullying (layanan bimbibingan dan konseling secara komprehensif, serta program bimbingan konseling seperti sekolah anti bullying, pelatihan empati, respek, stop bullying, dsb)., dan 3) kerjasama antara guru bimbingan konseling dan personil sekolah untuk memberikan layanan bimbingan konseling yang tepat dalam upaya mencegah perilaku bullying di sekolah menengah pertama. Guru bimbingan dan konseling melakukan kerjasama dengan personil sekolah (kepala sekolah, staf administrasi, guru mata pelajaran, guru pendamping, dan wali kelas), orang tua siswa, tenaga ahli (psikiater), dan penegak hukum (kepolisian).
Bullying is a kind of intimidation that done by a person or group of people in physical, psychological, sexual, verbal, and aggressive sexual harassment, which results in a negative psychological impact for the victim of bullying, causing short or long term trauma. The main roles of counseling teachers in school is as therapists, consultants, coordinators, change agent, assessors, career developers, and prevention agents. The counseling teacher as a preventive agent who played a role to preventing the occurrence of problems that can block up (bullying behavior) the development of students which is realized by through the guidance service and counseling programs that seek preventive efforts.
This literature study research aims to examine the scientific literature on the role of counseling teacher as an effort to prevent bullying behavior in junior high school. This research uses literature study research as a method. The data collection technique in this research is documentation technique. The data analysis technique that used in this study is a content analysis technique. The results of this study is a literature review for the role of counseling teachers as an act to prevent bullying behavior in junior high schools, including: 1) basic concepts of bullying behavior (definition, causal factors, and types of bullying). Bullying is a kind of physical, verbal, mental and gender oppression carried out by individuals or groups to seek self-identity by repeatedly abusing power against weaker individuals, disrupt their activitie and harm the victim can causes negative impact either physically or psychologically. , 2) implementation the program of counseling services in junior high school as an attempted to prevent bullying behavior (comprehensive guidance and counseling services, as well as counseling guidance programs such as anti-bullying schools, empathy training, respect, stop bullying, etc.), and 3) cooperation between counseling teacher and school attendant to provide appropriate counseling services as an attempted to prevent bullying behavior in junior high school. Counseling teacher did a collaboration with some school attendant (school principals, administrative staff, subject teachers, assistant teachers, and homeroom teacher), parents of student, the experts (psychiatrists), and law enforcerment (police).
