Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji ada atau tidaknya pengaruh penggunaan permainan congklak modifikasi terhadap kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan anak kelompok A di TK Idhata Unesa Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurang optimalnya kemampuan anak dalam mengenal lambang bilangan 1-10. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain penelitian Quasy-Eksperimental dengan jenis Nonequivalent Pretest-Postest Control Group Desain. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 28 anak di TK Idhata Unesa Surabaya. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Mann Whitney U-Test, berdasarkan hasil uji Mann Whitney U-Test diketahui asympt signifikansi sebesar 0,007 dimana nilai ini lebih kecil dari batas alpha signifikansi 0,05 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan kenaikan perubahan nilai kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan hasil postest terhadap hasil pretest (postest – pretest) antara kelompok kontrol dan eksperimen. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima dan hipotesis nol (Ho) ditolak. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh metode permainan congklak modifikasi terhadap kemampuan mengenal lambang bilangan anak kelompok A di TK Idhata Unesa Surabaya.

This research aimed to review whether there is the effect of using modified congklak game toward the ability knowing number symbol for children in group A at TK Idhata Unesa Surabaya. This research was based on less optimum of children’s ability in knowing number symbol 1-10. This research used experimental quantitative approach with research design of Quasy-Experimental with type of Nonequivalent Pretest-Postest Control Group Design. Method of collecting data used were observation and documentation. Subject in research were 28 children at TK Idhata Unesa Surabaya. Technique of data analysis in this research used Mann Whitney U-Test. Based on Mann Whitney U-Test, it was known significance asympt of 0.007 in which it was smaller than significance alpha of 0.05. Thus, it can be conducted that there is the difference in the increase in the change in the value of the ability to recognize the symbol of the number of posttest results on the results of the pretest (postest - pretest) between the control and experimental groups. It showed that alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and zero hypothesis (H0) was rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is effect toward modified congklak game method toward the ability of knowing number symbol for children in group A at TK Idhata Unesa Surabaya.
