Kekuatan adalah kerja maksimal yang dihasikan otot atau sekelompok otot. Latihan beban merupakan metode latihan ketahanan dengan menggunakan beban dengan alat untuk meningkatkan kekuatan otot lengan. Jika latihan beban dilakukan secara teratur dan disertai pola makan yang baik berbagai sistem tubuh akan berubah secara positif, otot-otot akan menjadi lebih kuat dapat meningkatkan intensitas latihan besar.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1)mengetahui pengaruh pelatihan medicine ball chest throw dan medicine ball overhead throw terhadap kekuatan otot lengan, (2) mengetahui peningkatan latihan medicine ball chest throw terhadapa kekuatan otot lengan,(3) mengetahui peningkatan latihan medicine ball overhead throw terhadapa kekuatan otot lenga,(4) mengetahui dari latihan kedua tersebut mana yang lebih berpengaruh terhadap kekuatan otot lengan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan subjek penelitian masyarakat umum putra sebanyak 20 orang. Di kelompokan menjadi 2 kelompok, penelitian ini dilakukan selama 6 minggu. Data analisis dengan uji t paired sample t-test dengan dibantu SSPS 23. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) kelompok medicine ball chest throw dan medicine overhead throw terjadi peningkatan yang sangat signifikan. Dalam nilai Sig. (2-tailed) yaitu 0,00 dengan demikian dapat dinyatakan bahwa kedua latihan medicine ball chest throw dan medicine overhead throw terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot lengan karena nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00 < 0,05., (2) pelatihan medicine ball chest throw berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot lengan,(3) pelatihan medicine overhead throw berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kekuatan otot
Strength is the maximum work produced by muscles or a group of muscles. Weight training is a method of endurance training using weights with a tool to increase arm muscle strength. If weight training is carried out regularly and accompanied by a good diet of various body systems will change positively, the muscles will become stronger can increase the intensity of large exercises.
This study aims to (1) find out the effect of medicine ball chest throw and medicine ball overhead throw training on arm muscle strength, (2) find out the increase in medicine ball chest throw exercise on arm muscle strength, (3) know the improvement in practice medicine ball overhead throw on lenga muscle strength, (4) knowing from the second exercise which is more influential on the strength of the arm muscles. This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with 20 male general public research subjects. Grouped into 2 groups, this study was conducted for 6 weeks. Data analysis with t-test paired sample t-test with SSPS assisted 23. The results of the study were (1) the medicine ball chest throw and medicine overhead throw group that had a very significant increase. In the Sig. (2-tailed) which is 0.00. Thus it can be stated that both the practice of medicine ball chest throw and medicine overhead throw have a significant effect on the increase in arm muscle strength because of the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.05. (2) training in medicine ball chest throw has an effect on increasing arm muscle strength, (3) training medicine overhead throw has an effect on increasing arm muscle strength, (4) From the results of both exercises both have significant results or there is an influence on arm muscle strength but in the mean (most) the most influential is exercise chest trow medicine from the medicine overhead throw exercise.
