Supervision To Improve Guidance And Counseling Teachers Performance In State Vocational High School 13 Surabaya And Dharma Bahari Vocational High School
Pemberian layanan bimbingan klasikal di SMK Negeri 13 Surabaya kurang optimal karena kurangnya tenaga BK sehingga terkadang guru BK berhalangan memasuki kelas akibat beban kerja yang terlalu besar dimana terdapat satu guru BK saja di sekolah, sementara itu peserta didik berjumlah 404. Sedangkan guru BK di SMK Dharma Bahari, diketahui bahwa tidak adanya buku konseling karena jumlah peserta didik berjumlah 2.244 dan hanya terdapat 6 guru BK saja sehingga beban kerja yang didapat juga cukup besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif komparatif untuk membandingkan karakteristik atau fenomena yang diteliti, serta mengidentifikasi persamaan dan perbedaan antara berbagai kelompok atau variabel. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik wawancara dan dokumentasi. Pengambilan data dilakukan kepada kepala sekolah, guru BK, dan peserta didik. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah supervisi memberikan dampak terhadap kinerja guru BK. Perubahan ditunjukkan oleh guru BK SMK Negeri 13 Surabaya adalah meningkatnya kolaborasi dengan wali kelas dan guru mata pelajaran untuk menangani permasalahan dan memantau perkembangan peserta didik. Sedangkan di SMK Dharma menunjukkan guru BK yang mampu berinovasi dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk mengembangkan suatu aplikasi yang fungsinya mirip dengan buku konseling.

The provision of classical guidance services at SMK Negeri 13 Surabaya is less than optimal due to the lack of BK staff so that sometimes BK teachers are unable to enter the classroom due to the excessive workload where there is only one BK teacher at the school, while the number of students is 404. Meanwhile, BK teachers at SMK Dharma Bahari, it is known that there is no counseling book because the number of students is 2,244 and there are only 6 BK teachers so that the workload obtained is also quite large. This study uses a qualitative research method with a comparative descriptive approach to compare the characteristics or phenomena studied, and to identify similarities and differences between various groups or variables. This study uses interview and documentation techniques. Data collection was carried out on the principal, BK teachers, and students. The results of this study are that supervision has an impact on the performance of BK teachers. The changes shown by BK teachers at SMK Negeri 13 Surabaya are increased collaboration with homeroom teachers and subject teachers to handle problems and monitor student development. Meanwhile, at SMK Dharma, it shows BK teachers who are able to innovate in utilizing technology to develop an application that functions similar to a counseling book.
