Penelitian ini berawal dari adanya eksploitasi terhadap tenaga kebersihan yang terjadi di salah satu perguruan tinggi negeri di Surabaya. Berdasarkan fenomena dilapangan adanya tindakan eksploitasi terjadi kepada petugas kebersihan dilakukan oleh penyalur tenaga kerja dan pihak perguruan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Karl Marx mengenai eksploitasi kelas dimana kaum borjuis mengksploitasi kaum ploretar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk mendiskripsikan tindakan eksploitasi sesuai kondisi dilapagan. Tindakan eksploitasi yang terjadi kepada petugas kebersihan dilakukan untuk mendapatkan keuntungan lebih. Bentuk eksploitasi yang  diterima oleh petugas kebersihan adalah perampasan hak pekerja serta upah.Tindakan eksploitasi menimbulkan dampak bagi petugas kebersihan pada perekonomian petugas kebersihan dan  turunnya semangat bekerja.

This research began with the exploitation of cleaning personnel that occurred at one of the state universities in Surabaya. Based on the phenomena in the field, exploitation actions occur to cleaning staff carried out by labor distributors and universities. This study uses Karl Marx's theory of class exploitation in which the bourgeoisie exploits the ploretists. This study uses qualitative methods to describe exploitation actions according to the conditions in the field. Exploitation actions that occur to cleaning staff are done to get more profit. The form of exploitation received by janitors is the deprivation of workers' rights and wages. The exploitation measures have an impact on janitors on the economy of janitors and the decline in morale.
