Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Brainwriting Terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Teks Deskripsi Peserta Didik Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

The Effect of Brainwriting Learning Model on Writing Descriptive Text Skills of Grade IV Elementary School Students

Brainwriting merupakan model pembelajaran yang menekankan pada keterampilan menulis peserta didik dan relevan untuk mendukung peserta didik mengungkapkan idenya dalam sebuah tulisan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran brainwriting terhadap kemampuan menulis teks deskriptif siswa kelas IV SD yang menjadi peserta. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Non-equivalent Control Group Design yang merupakan desain eksperimen semu. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan terdiri dari gabungan metode tes dan metode angket, yang memanfaatkan instrumen angket dan metode tes. Alat penilaiannya berupa pre-test dan post-test, sedangkan instrumen angket mengumpulkan tanggapan siswa mengenai pengalamannya dengan model pembelajaran brainwriting. Hasil dari uji hipotesis menggunakan uji independent sample t test dengan bantuan SPSS 26 yang diperoleh nilai  > , yaitu 5,566 > 1,673 maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa ditolak dan diterima, melalui uji regresi linear sederhana juga didapatkan nilai Sig (0,000) < 0,05, maka dinyatakan variable X berpengaruh terhadap variable Y. Besar pengaruh dinyatakan melalui uji regresi linear sederhana diperoleh juga harga koefisien determinasi atau dinyatakan dalam R Square sebesar 0,788. Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa pengaruh variable model pembelajaran Brainwriting (X) terhadap  keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi peserta didik (Y) adalah sebesar 78,8% dan sisanya yaitu 21,2% disebabkan oleh faktor lain. Model pembelajaran brainwriting dianggap berpengaruh positif dinyatakan dari hasil respon peserta didik terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran dengan perolehan nilai 91 dari 29 jumlah peserta didik. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran brainwriting berpengaruh positif terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi peserta didik kelas IV SD.

Brainwriting is a learning model that emphasizes students’ writing skills and is relevant to support them to express their ideas in writing. The objective of this research endeavor is to ascertain the impact that the brainwriting learning model has on the proficiency of fourth grade elementary school students in composing descriptive texts. This study employs a quantitative approach based on the quasi-experimental design known as Non-equivalent Control. The data collection methods employed were the test method and the questionnaire method, with questionnaire instruments and test instruments being utilized, respectively. A pretest and posttest comprised the assessment tool, whereas a questionnaire response to learning utilizing the brainwriting  learning model comprised the questionnaire instrument.  The hypothesis was tested using the independent sample t test in SPSS 26. The obtained value of t hitung is greater than t tabel, and the resulting value of 5.566 is greater than 1.673. Therefore, it can be concluded that H0  was rejected and H1  was accepted. Additionally, the simple linear regression test yielded a significance value of 0.000< 0.05. Consequently, it can be concluded that variable X influences variable Y. The estimation of the degree of influence obtained through the application of the simple linear regression test is also reflected in the R Square value of the cost of the coefficient of determination, which is 0.788. Based on the empirical evidence, it is possible to deduce that the implementation of the Brainwriting learning model (X) improves students' descriptive writing abilities by 78.8% (Y).  with other factors accounting for the remaining 21.2%. A score of 91 out of 29 on the evaluation of students' reactions to learning activities indicates that the brainwriting learning model is regarded as having a beneficial impact. Based on the results obtained, it can be deduced that the utilization of the brainwriting learning model has a positive influence on the proficiency of fourth-grade elementary students in descriptive writing.
