Phenomenology of Female Online Gambling Offenders (Study in Kediri District)

Penelitian ini menganalisis fenomenologi perempuan pelaku perjudian online di Kabupaten Kediri dengan pendekatan kualitatif menggunakan teori fenomenologi Alfred Schutz. Studi ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi karakteristik sosial ekonomi, motif keterlibatan, dan dampak perjudian online pada perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan dari berbagai latar belakang, termasuk ibu rumah tangga dan pekerja informal, terlibat dalam perjudian online karena faktor ekonomi, tekanan sosial, dan akses teknologi yang mudah. Motif utama mencakup pelarian dari masalah hidup, keinginan cepat kaya, serta pengaruh lingkungan sosial. Meskipun beberapa subjek mengaku memperoleh keuntungan finansial jangka pendek, dampak negatif seperti kerugian ekonomi, stigma sosial, dan gangguan psikologis lebih dominan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan edukasi dan pengawasan teknologi untuk mengurangi risiko keterlibatan perjudian online, khususnya bagi perempuan.

This study analyzes the phenomenology of female online gamblers in Kediri Regency with a qualitative approach using Alfred Schutz's phenomenological theory. This study aims to identify socio-economic characteristics, motives for involvement, and the impact of online gambling on women. The results show that women from various backgrounds, including housewives and informal workers, are involved in online gambling due to economic factors, social pressure, and easy access to technology. The main motives include escape from life problems, the desire to get rich quickly, and the influence of the social environment. Although some subjects admitted to gaining short-term financial benefits, negative impacts such as economic losses, social stigma, and psychological disorders are more dominant. This study recommends education and supervision of technology to reduce the risk of online gambling involvement, especially for women
