Based on the problems that occur at SMKN 1 Sooko Mojokerto which are the results of initial observations by
researchers was the lack understanding of students in majoring multimedia regarding synchronous
and asynchronous communication material in the network. This is evidenced
through the results of interviews by the subject teachers concerned. Due to the
limitations of the learning media available at SMKN 1 Sooko Mojokerto, students have not received maximum results in
learning. Based on the needs analysis of the problems and potential carried out
by researchers, it is necessary to develop an E-module media based on android
applications on synchronous and asynchronous communication o n network material. E-module based on android
application is a learning media which learning-oriented that can be done independently by students by
utilizing Android Smartphone technology as a means of operation.
The purpose of developing an E-module media based on android applications is to produce
E-module products for simulation and digital communication in synchronous and asynchronous communication material in the network
and to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of E-module media on student
learning outcomes. The development model used is the R & D development
model by Sugiyono with class - XI trial subject in multimedia department at SMK N 1 Sooko Mojokerto. Data was collected
through the feasibility instrument of learning implementation plan, instrument
of material feasibility, instrument of media feasibility, instrument of
feasibility of media accompanying materials, validity and reliability of items,
homogeneity and normality. The process of student learning outcomes is us ing a comparison of the results of the posttest
between the control class and the experimental class.
Types of data qualitative and quantitative,
data analysis used to process the results of the feasibility test using the
Linkert rating scale, for the feasibility test of the learning implementation
plan ( 75 %) shows a feasible category. For the feasibility of synchronous
and asynchronous communication material in the network ( 100 %), it shows a very feasible category. The feasibility test for E-module
media Android-based (88%) shows a very feasible category. The feasibility test
of media accompanying materials (83%) shows a very feasible category. E-module
media Android-based was declared effective based on the comparison of post-test
between the control class and the experimental class, namely the control class
average of 73.33 while the experimental class average was 83.33.
