The Effect of Economic Growth, Population, and Human Development Index on Open Unemployment Rate (Study on 21 Regencies and Cities in Java Island)
This study was made to determine the effect of the variables of economic growth, population, and human development index with the open unemployment rate in 21 regencies and cities in Java Island in 2018-2022. This research uses associative quantitative with secondary data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The research method uses panel data regression analysis which is tested using the E-views 12 analytical tool. Partially, the results of this study state that the economic growth variable has a significant negative effect, population has no effect, and HDI has a significant positive effect on the open unemployment rate. Then simultaneously, economic growth, population, and HDI affect the open unemployment rate.
