Hubungan Regulasi Emosi dengan Burnout Akademik pada Mahasiswa Tingkat Akhir di Surabaya
The Relationship Between Emotion Regulation and Academic Burnout Among Final Year Students in Surabaya
Final-year university students often face high academic pressure, such as thesis completion and career preparation, which can lead to emotional exhaustion and decreased motivation. Emotion regulation is considered to play a role in how students respond to these demands. This study aimed to examine the relationship between emotion regulation and academic burnout among final-year students in Surabaya. Using a quantitative correlational design, the study involved 239 students selected through simple random sampling. The results showed a significant positive relationship between emotion regulation and academic burnout (r = 0,139; p < 0,001), indicating a moderate association. These findings suggest that academic burnout is more closely related to individual and situational factors than to emotion regulation as a single factor.
