THE FEASIBILITY OF TIC TAC TOE GAMES OF THE HUMAN EXCRETION SYSTEM MATERIAL TO IMPROVE STUDENT'S CONCEPTS UNDERSTANDING
Penelitian yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan permainan Tic Tac Toe berdasarkan aspek kevalidan, kepraktisan dan keefektifan ditinjau dari peningkatan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi sistem ekskresi manusia. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan desain Researh and Development (R & D) yang dibatasi hanya sampai pada tahap uji coba terbatas. Uji coba terbatas ini dilakukan kepada 30 peserta didik SMP kelas VIII. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi, lembar pengamatan aktivitas peserta didik, lembar respon peserta didik dan lembar tes pemahaman konsep. Data hasil validasi dianalisis dengan mencari nilai modus, data hasil aktivitas dan respon peserta didik diperoleh dari skala Gutman selanjutnya dipersentase, dan hasil tes pemahaman dianalisis menggunakan rumus N-gain. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu permainan yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran ditunjukkan dari aspek isi, penyajian, kebahasaan dan fungsi permainan sebagai pembelajaran masing-masing memperoleh modus 4, sehingga persentase kelayakan 100% dikatakan sangat layak. Permainan Tic Tac Toe dinyatakan praktis dilihat dari hasil aktivitas peserta didik pada pertemuan kedua yaitu 91,51% meningkat menjadi 98,48% pada pertemuan keempat, dan respon peserta didik mendapatkan persentase 95,97%. Permainan Tic Tac Toe dinyatakan efektif dilihat dari peningkatan pemahaman konsep melalui hasil dari pretest dan posttest dengan perolehan skor N-gain sebesar 0,71 dengan kriteria tinggi. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan Tic Tac Toe yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran dan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

The research aimed to describes the feasibility of Tic Tac Toe game based on aspects of validity, practicality, and effectivity in terms of increasing students' understanding towards of concepts human excretory system. The type of research used was Research and Development (R & D) design within wich it had been limitedto pilot project. The pilot project involved 30 students at junior high school level of grade 8th. The instruments used in this research are validation sheets, student activity observation sheets, student response sheets and concept understanding test sheets. The validation result data were analyzed by finding the mode value, the activity result data and the students' responses were obtained from the Gutman scale then percentage, and the understanding test results were analyzed using the N-gain formula. The result of the research declared valid in the medium category respect to the aspects of language, presentation, content and function of the game as each possessed mode 4. Therefore, the presentage of those was 100% eligibity which meant very feasible. Tic Tac Toe game expressed practically seen from the results of student activity as evidenced from the percentage of student activity at the second meeting namely 91.51% increased to 98.48% at the fourth meeting, and the response of students getting a percentage of 95.97%. Tic Tac Toe game declared effective by increasing understanding of the concept through the results of the pretest and posttest with the acquisition of an N-gain score of 0.71 with high criteria. It can be concluded that the Tic Tac Toe game developed was very suitable to be used as a learning medium and increased students' understanding of concepts.
