Pengaruh Self-Efficacy dan Dukungan Sosial Keluarga terhadap Pengambilan Keputusan Studi Lanjut Siswa SMP
The Influence of Self-Efficacy and Family Social Support on Junior High School Students' Further Study Decision-Making
Pengambilan keputusan untuk melanjutkan studi merupakan tahap yang sangat penting bagi siswa SMP karena akan berpengaruh pada arah pendidikan dan pilihan karier mereka di masa depan. Dalam proses ini, keyakinan siswa terhadap kemampuan dirinya (self-efficacy) serta dukungan sosial dari keluarga diperkirakan memiliki peran yang cukup besar dalam membantu siswa menentukan pilihan studi lanjut yang tepat. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana pengaruh self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial keluarga terhadap pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut pada siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain ex post facto. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik simple random sampling, sedangkan jumlah sampel ditentukan dengan rumus Slovin. Penelitian ini melibatkan 348 siswa kelas 7, 8, dan 9 yang berasal dari tiga sekolah. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui angket yang terdiri dari angket self-efficacy, angket dukungan sosial keluarga, dan angket pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut. Analisis data dengan uji normalitas, linearitas, dan regresi linear berganda menggunakan IBM SPSS Statistics 26. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa self-efficacy memberikan pengaruh positif sebesar 12,3% terhadap pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut, dukungan sosial keluarga memberikan pengaruh positif sebesar 73,5% terhadap pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut, dan secara bersama-sama self-efficacy dan dukungan sosial keluarga memberikan pengaruh sebesar 57,9% terhadap pengambilan keputusan studi lanjut siswa SMP, sedangkan sisanya 42,1% dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain diluar penelitian ini. Temuan ini dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi sekolah untuk mengembangkan program bimbingan karir yang holistik dengan melibatkan keluarga secara aktif dan meningkatkan self-efficacy siswa melalui layanan bimbingan dan konseling dengan dukungan berbagai pihak. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pendekatan family-centered dalam bimbingan karir untuk siswa SMP.
The decision to continue studying is a very important stage for junior high school students because it will affect the direction of their education and career choices in the future. In this process, students' belief in their own abilities (self-efficacy) and social support from their families are thought to play a significant role in helping students determine the right choice of further study. Therefore, this study aims to determine the extent to which self-efficacy and family social support influence junior high school students' decisions to continue their studies. This study uses a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. Sampling was conducted using simple random sampling, while the sample size was determined using the Slovin formula. This study involved 348 students in grades 7, 8, and 9 from three schools. Research data were collected through questionnaires consisting of self-efficacy questionnaires, family social support questionnaires, and further study decision-making questionnaires. Data analysis was performed using normality, linearity, and multiple linear regression tests using IBM SPSS Statistics 26. The findings reveal that self-efficacy has a positive influence of 12.3% on further study decision-making, family social support has a positive influence of 73.5% on further study decision-making, and together self-efficacy and family social support have an influence of 57.9% on junior high school students' further study decision-making. while the remaining 42.1% is influenced by other variables outside this study. These findings can contribute to schools developing holistic career guidance programs by actively involving families and increasing students' self-efficacy through guidance and counseling services with support from various parties. The practical implications of this study emphasize the importance of a family-centered approach in career guidance for junior high school students.
