TRADHISI LONGKANGAN ING WULAN SELA MASARAKAT DESA BINADE KECAMATAN NGRAYUN KABUPATEN PONOROGO (TINTINGAN FOLKLOR)
THE LONGKANGAN TRADITION IN THE MONTH OF SELA AMONG THE PEOPLE OF BINADE VILLAGE NGRAYUN DISTRICT PONOROGO REGENCY (REVIEW OF FOLKLORE )
ABSTRAK
Tradisi Longkangan di Bulan Sela Masyarakat Desa Binade, Kecamatan Ngrayun, Kabupaten Ponorogo, merupakan salah satu bentuk foklor setengah lisan yang hingga saat ini masih rutin dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat Desa Binade setiap tahunya. Tradisi longkangan menjadi salah satu ungkapan rasa syukur masyarakat kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa atas nikmat yang telah diberikan, dan untuk meminta supaya masyarakat selalu diberi kerukunan, hidup tentram. Dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji asal-usul tradisi, tata cara pelaksanaan tradisi, ubarampe dan makna yang digunakan dalam tradhisi, fungsi dari tradisi, perubahan yang terjadi pada tradisi, dan upaya pelestarian tradisi longkangan di Desa Binade tersebut. Selain itu, penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menambah wawasan, sudut pandang, dan pengalaman peneliti mengenai keberadaan tradisi di suatu daerah. Landasan teori yang digunakan meliputi konsep folklor, makna dan simbol, kepercayaan, fungsi, perubahan, serta pelestarian budaya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara menggambarkah, menguraikan, dan menjelaskan secara rinci rumusan masalah yang dikaji. Data diperoleh dari wawancara, observasi lapangan, serta dokumentasi yang didukung oleh instrumen penelitian seperti peneliti sendiri, pedoman wawancara, dan alat bantu lainya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tradisi Longkangan memiliki rangkaian acara yang terbagi menjadi tiga tahap yaitu tahap persiapan, tahap pelaksanaan, dan tahap penutupan. Setiap ubarampe yang digunakan memiliki makna yang tersirat tersendiri dan mempunyai ciri khas. Penelitian ini juga menemukan adanya perubahan dalam pelaksanaan tradisi seiring perkembangan zaman, sehingga diperlukan upaya pelestarian supaya Tradisi Longkangan ini tetap hidup dan terus diwariskan kepada generasi muda seterusnya. Msyarakat Desa Binade menunjukkan antusisme tinggi terhadap tradhisi ini, oleh karena itu hingga saat ini Tradisi Longkangan masih terus dilaksanakan disetiap tahunya.

ABSTRACT
The Longkangan Tradition held in the month of Sela by the people of Binade Village, Ngrayun District, Ponorogo Regency, is a form of semi-oral folklore that is still regularly carried out every year. This tradition serves as an expression of gratitude to God Almighty for the blessings that have been bestowed upon the community, as well as a prayer for continued harmony and a peaceful life among the villagers. This study aims to examine the origin of the tradition, the procedures of its implementation, the ritual objects (ubarampe) and their meanings, the functions of the tradition, the changes that have occurred over time, and the efforts made to preserve the Longkangan Tradition in Binade Village. In addition, this research is expected to broaden the researcher’s insight, perspective, and experience regarding the existence of traditional practices in a particular region. The theoretical framework used in this study includes concepts of folklore, meaning and symbolism, belief systems, function, cultural change, and cultural preservation.
This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach by describing, elaborating, and explaining in detail the formulated research problems. Data were collected through interviews, field observations, and documentation, supported by research instruments such as the researcher as the primary instrument, interview guidelines, and other supporting tools. The results of the study show that the Longkangan Tradition consists of a series of events divided into three stages: the preparation stage, the implementation stage, and the closing stage. Each ritual object used in the tradition carries its own implied meaning and distinctive characteristics. The study also finds that changes have occurred in the implementation of the tradition in line with the development of the times. Therefore, preservation efforts are necessary to ensure that the Longkangan Tradition remains alive and continues to be passed down to future generations. The people of Binade Village demonstrate a high level of enthusiasm for this tradition; consequently, the Longkangan Tradition continues to be held annually to this day.
