PENGEMBANGAN SOFTWARE PENGELOLAAN ASUPAN MAKAN PADA ATLET
DEVELOPMENT OF SOFTWARE FOR MANAGING FOOD INTAKE IN ATHLETES
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pengelolaan asupan makan bagi atlet angkat besi yang sesuai dengan periodesasi latihan, serta menghasilkan perangkat lunak (software) yang valid dan reliabel untuk membantu atlet dan pelatih dalam mengatur kebutuhan nutrisi harian. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahapan penelitian mencakup analisis kebutuhan, perancangan model, pengembangan aplikasi, validasi ahli (ahli gizi, ahli IT, dan ahli program latihan), serta uji coba terbatas terhadap pengguna.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan energi dan nutrisi atlet selama periode latihan dan kompetisi sering tidak terpenuhi akibat rendahnya pemahaman pelatih dan atlet tentang pengaturan gizi yang sesuai. Produk yang dikembangkan berupa aplikasi pengelolaan asupan makan yang memungkinkan pengguna memasukkan data makanan, porsi, jenis kelamin, dan tahapan periodesasi latihan untuk memperoleh gambaran kecukupan energi dan zat gizi harian. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa model dan perangkat lunak yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan layak digunakan sebagai alat bantu edukatif dalam manajemen gizi atlet.
Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pedoman bagi atlet, pelatih, dan pembina olahraga dalam merencanakan serta memantau asupan nutrisi sesuai kebutuhan energi tiap tahap latihan, sehingga dapat mendukung pencapaian performa puncak atlet angkat besi secara optimal.
This research aims to develop a nutritional intake management model for weightlifters that aligns with training schedules and produces valid and reliable software to assist athletes and coaches in managing daily nutritional needs. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. The research stages included needs analysis, model design, application development, expert validation (by nutritionists, IT experts, and training program experts), and limited user trials.
The results indicate that athletes' energy and nutritional needs during training and competition are often not met due to coaches' and athletes' lack of understanding of appropriate nutritional management. The product developed is a nutritional intake management application that allows users to input food data, portion sizes, gender, and training schedule stages to obtain an overview of daily energy and nutrient adequacy. The validation results indicate that the developed model and software are valid, practical, and suitable for use as educational tools in athlete nutrition management.
This research is expected to serve as a guide for athletes, coaches, and sports instructors in planning and monitoring nutritional intake according to energy requirements at each training stage, thereby supporting optimal peak performance in weightlifters.
