              Berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi di SMKS Ketintang Surabaya dari hasil observasi oleh peneliti, para siswa didapati masih kesulitan dalam menggunakan software Corel Draw yang merupakan software utama yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran karena kurangnya kesadaran siswa untuk lebih serius dalam mempelajari Corel Draw. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dengan melihat terbatasnya waktu penggunaan laboratorium komputer untuk praktek desain grafis menggunakan Corel Draw yang malah disalah gunakan oleh siswa untuk melakukan hal lain seperti bermain game. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, dengan adanya kegiatan Pelatihan Corel Draw bisa menjadi solusi untuk membantu siswa menjadi lebih mahir. Rancangan desain pelatihan corel draw dirancang menggunakan metode coaching yang akan membantu siswa untuk melakukan refleksi terhadap kondisi siswa dan menyadari pentingnya meningkatkan kemampuan menguasai software corel draw bagi siswa.

              Jenis data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis data  kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian eksperimen menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data berupa angket, dan tes. Hasil validasi oleh ahli materi yang diperoleh oleh peneliti adalah sebesar 91,67%. Lalu hasil validasi oleh ahli desain pelatihan adalah sebesar 100% dan hasil angket siswa adalah 84,44%. Berdasarkan berbagai hasil presentase tersebut menunjukkan bahwa rancangan pelatihan corel draw termasuk dalam kategori layak untuk diimplementasikan. Kemudian untuk hasil uji t dengan melaksanakan pre-test dan post-test pada kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen diperoleh hasil pada data post-test bahwa t hitung > t tabel yaitu 3,774 > 2,048 dimana t tabel didapatkan dari taraf signifiknsi 5% dengan nilai df=28. Maka berdasarkan hasil data tersebut dapat dikatakan bahwa hasil post-test memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dan kegiatan pelatihan corel draw terbukti efektif untuk mempengaruhi peserta meningkatkan kemampuan desain grafisnya.

              Based on the problems that occur in Ketintang Vocational School and the observations that the researcher has made. The researcher found that the students were still have difficulty using Corel Draw software, which is the main software used in learning. That’s happen because of the lack of awareness among students to be more serious about studying Corel Draw. This is proven by seeing the limited time used in the computer laboratory to practice graphic design using Corel Draw which is actually misused by students to do other things such as playing games. To overcome this problem, Corel Draw training activities can be a solution to help students become more proficient. The training design for Corel Draw is created to use a coaching method which will help students to reflect on their condition and realize the importance of improving Corel Draw skill.

              The type of data collected in this research is quantitative data with experimental research methods using data collection techniques by form of questionnaires and tests. The results of validation by material experts obtained by researchers were 91.67%. Then the validation results by training design experts were 100% and the student questionnaire results were 84.44%. Based on the various percentage results, it shows that the Corel Draw training design is included in the category worthy of implementation. Then for the results of the t test by carrying out the pre-test and post-test in the control class and experimental class, the results obtained from the post-test data were that t count > t table, namely 3.774 > 2.048 where the t table was obtained from a significance level of 5% with a value of df= 28. So based on the results of these data it can be said that the post-test results have a significant difference and the Corel Draw training activity has proven to be effective in influencing participants to improve their graphic design skills.
