The problem faced in the world of higher education is how to make accurate and efficient decisions in the selection of scholarship recipients for the Academic Achievement Improvement Program (PPA). Relevant and significant assessment criteria are the main focus in dealing with this problem. Determining inappropriate criteria can lead to inefficiency in the selection of scholarship recipients, while selecting appropriate criteria will increase the level of fairness in the allocation of scholarship funds.
Developing an internet-accessible decision support system is considered a solution to this problem. To evaluate and rank the eligibility of PPA scholarship recipients, this system will use the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) and Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) methods. Thus, the scholarship selection committee will be able to easily input student data, set the assessment criteria, and generate an eligibility ranking.
The purpose of this research is to develop a website-based decision support system for the selection of PPA (Academic Achievement Improvement) scholarship candidates using the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) and Multi Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT) methods. The PPA scholarship is a program that provides financial support to outstanding students.
The results of this study show that the two methods, namely Rank Order Centroid (ROC) and Multi-Attribute Utility Theory (MAUT), have been successfully combined to produce a eligibility of scholarship candidates for the Academic Achievement Improvement Program (PPA). This merging process has been tested through blackbox testing that includes various scenarios. The merging of the methods was done carefully, considering the advantages and disadvantages of each method, as well as the predetermined criteria weights.
