Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan LKPD berbasis literasi sains pada materi pertumbuhan dan perkembangan untuk melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik yang layak secara teoretis dan empiris, mendeskripsikan kelayakan LKPD berbasis literasi sains secara teoretis berdasarkan hasil validasi, dan mendeskripsikan kelayakan LKPD berbasis literasi sains secara empiris berdasarkan observasi aktivitas peserta didik, hasil belajar, dan respons peserta didik. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4D yang terdiri dari tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Penelitian ini hanya sampai pada tahap develop. Tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, dan pengembangan dilakukan di Jurusan Biologi Unesa. Tahap uji coba dilakukan pada 20 peserta didik kelas XII MA Negeri 2 Gresik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode validasi, observasi aktivitas peserta didik, tes, dan angket. Data dianalisis secara kuantitaif. Kelayakan LKPD secara teoretis berdasarkan hasil validasi pada aspek penyajian, aspek isi, dan aspek bahasa memperoleh modus sebesar 4 dinyatakan sangat layak. Kelayakan empiris berdasarkan observasi aktivitas peserta didik pada masing-masing pertemuan memperoleh persentase sebesar 95,33% dan 98,57% yang dinyatakan sangat aktif, hasil belajar memperoleh ketuntasan belajar sebesar 100%, rata-rata keterampilan berpikir kritis peserta didik 88% kategori sangat baik, dan respons positif peserta didik sebesar 95,75% yang dinyatakan sangat layak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa LKPD berbasis literasi sains layak digunakan secara teoretis dan empiris.

The purpose of this research was to produce Literacy Science worksheets on growth and development materials for training students’ critical thinking skills that were theoretical and empirical feasibility, describe the theoritical feasibility of Literacy Science worksheets based on validation results, and describe the empirical feasibility of Literacy Science worksheets based on observation of students activitiy, students learning outcomes, and students response. This research is a development research with 4D model consisting of define, design, develop, and disseminate steps. This research only did until “develop” step. The stage of defining, designing, and developing was done in the Biology Department of Unesa. The trial stage was done on 20 students of class XII MA Negeri 2 Gresik. Data were collected by validation methods, observation of students activities, tests, and questionnaires. Data were analyzed by quantitative. The feasibility of theoretical student worksheets based on the results of validation on aspects of presentation, content aspects, and aspects of language obtained modus of 4 stated as very feasible. Empirical feasibility based on observation of student activities in each meeting obtained percentage of 95.33% and 98.57% stated as very active, learning outcomes gained 100% learning completeness, average achievement of students' critical thinking skills 88% and students' positive response of 95.75% was declared very feasible. The results of the research show that science-based student worksheets are worthy of being used theoretically and empirically.
