ABSTRAK KONSISTENSI ABSURDITAS TOKOH ORANG TUA/KAKEK DALAM TIGA NASKAH DRAMA “BULAN BUJUR SANGKAR”, “PETANG DI TAMAN”, DAN “RT 0 – RW 0”  KARYA IWAN SIMATUPANG (ABSURDITAS ALBERT CAMUS)

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan konsistensi absurditas tokoh Orang Tua/Kakek dalam tiga naskah drama “Bulan Bujur Sangkar”,  “Petang Di Taman”, dan “RT 0 – RW 0” karya Iwan simatupang dengan menggunakan kajian filsafat absurd Albert Camus melalui tiga tahap konsep berpikir absurd yaitu, kesadaran absurd, pemberontakan dan kebebasan.  Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan objektif. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah metode pustaka dan simak-catat. Metode analisis data menggunakan metode penafsiran terhadap data dengan melakukan beberapa langkah pembacaan, yaitu (1) membaca kritis, (2) membaca kreatif, dan (3) membaca hermeneutika. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bentuk absurditas tokoh Orang Tua/Kakek melalui tiga tahap konsep berpikir absurd: kesadaran absurd, pemberontakan dan kebebasan. Pada naskah drama Bulan Bujur Sangkar tokoh Orang Tua melakukan perlawanan terhadap absurditas dengan cara atau bunuh diri di tiang gantungan; naskah drama Petang Di Taman, tokoh Orang Tua tetap kembali menemui absurditas sebagai bentuk pemberontakan demi meraih kebebasannya.

THE CONSISTENCY ABSURDITY OF THE CHARACTER  ORANG TUA/KAKEK THROUGH THE THREE OF THE DRAMA SCRIPTS “BULAN BUJUR SANGKAR”, “PETANG DI TAMAN”, AND “RT 0 – RW 0” BY IWAN SIMATUPANG (THE STUDY OF ABSURD PHILOSOPHY ALBERT CAMUS)

This research aims to describe the consistency absurdity of the character Orang Tua/Kakek through the three of the drama scripts “Bulan Bujur Sangkar”, “Petang Di Taman”, and “RT 0 – RW 0” by Iwan simatupang with the study of absurd philosophy by Albert Camus through three stages of the concept of absurd thinking, which are absurd consciousness, rebellion, and freedom. The method that is used in the research is descriptive qualitative with objective approach. The method of data collection in this research is library research method and take-note. Data analysis method uses interpretation method toward the data by going several stages of reading., which are critical reading, creative reading, and hermeneutics reading. The result of this research shows absurdity of character Orang Tua/Kakek through three stages of the concept of absurd thinking, which are absurd consciousness, rebellion, and freedom. In the Bulan Bujur Sangkar drama script, the character of Orang Tua tend to do a fight towards absurdity by committing suicide in the gallows; in the drama script of Petang Di Taman, the character of Orang Tua keeps returning to life of absurdity as a rebellion; in the drama script of RT 0-RW 0, the character of Kakek gets freedom by living under the bridge as the rebellion of absurdity. The result of the interpretation and the analysis states that the three drama scripts by Iwan Simatupang does not show the consistency of absurdity towards the character of Orang Tua/Kakek, because based on the Bulan Bujur Sangkar, the character of Orang Tua would rather commit suicide than to live their absurd life as what the character of Orang Tua/Kakek in Petang Di Taman and RT 0-RW 0 that return to face absurdity as rebellion to reach the freedom.
