Solution-Focused Brief Therapy merupakan teknik berfokus solusi yang mampu menangani permasalahan individu. Salah satu permasalahan individu yaitu self-esteem. Penelitian Mulawarman (2014) menjelaskan bahwa Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) mampu meningkatkan self-esteem individu. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah kurangnya literatur atau bahan pustaka tentang Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) meningkatkan self-esteem individu. Penelitian ini bertujuan menjelaskan dan mendeskripsikan penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) meningkatkan self esteem individu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pustaka. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi dengan instrumen daftar check list bahan penelitian. Analisis data yang digunakan menggunakan analisis isi (content analysis). Proses analisis data dilakukan dengan pengecekan antar pustaka dan membaca ulang pustaka serta memperhatikan komentar pembimbing. Hasil penelitian ini sesuai dengan fokus kajian yang merujuk artikel yang dimuat dalam jurnal serta masukan dari dosen pembimbing tentang penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) meningkatkan self esteem individu. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah 1) Penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) mampu meningkatkan self esteem individu 2) Prosedur penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) memiliki jumlah sesi 2-7 sesi dengan durasi sekitar 60 menit dan 4 tahapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy meningkatkan self esteem individu 3) Teknik atau metode penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) yang sering digunakan exception questions, miracle question, dan goals solution meningkatkan self esteem individu 4) Ruang lingkup penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) dalam bidang pendidikan maupun non pendidikan dan sasaran penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) individu maupun kelompok dengan bentang usia remaja sampai dewasa yang memiliki self esteem rendah 5) Saran dan Rekomendasi penerapan Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) meningkatkan self esteem individu menambahkan beberapa sesi dan menerapkan dalam kelompok luas.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is a solution-focused technique that is able to handle individual problems. One of the individual problems is low self-esteem. Mulawarman's research (2014) explain that Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is able to increase individual self-esteem. This research purpose to explain and describe the application of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to increase individual self esteem. Method of this research was using library research. Data accumulation technique use the documentation method with a check list research instrument. Data analysis used is content analysis. The process of data analysis it is check between literature, re-read the literature and pay attention the advisor’s comments. The results of this research are in corresponden with the focus of the research which refers to articles publish in the journals as well as input from advisor’s on the application of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to increase individual self esteem.
