Changes In Fashion Style College Student Alumni Islamic Boarding School

The essay entitled Changes in Dress Style for Alumni Pondok Pesantren Students in this study originates from a phenomenon with increasing times and globalization, changes and developments from time to time will be seen because the impact of globalization itself is quite large, one of the impacts of the current era of globalization can affect dress style. This has influenced the alumni of the MBI Amanatul Ummah Pacet Mojoketo Islamic boarding school to follow the trend of changing styles of dress, especially for women. It can be seen that the current fashion styles worn by female boarding school alumni are fairly fashionable and fashionable. The aim of the study was to analyze what factors influenced the transformation of the fashion style of female alumni of the MBI Amanatul Ummah Pacet Mojokerto Islamic boarding school for female students of the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Yıldırım Beyazıt Universitesi, Maulana Malik Ibrahim State Islamic University, Telkom University Bandung in changing clothing styles. The theory in this study uses Herbert Blumer's symbolic interactionalism theory and Jean Baudrillard's consumptive theory. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. The research results show that the fashion style after becoming an alumni and entering the university has changed, namely they are more up to date with the many current fashion trends that look more fashionable. However, there are some changes in clothing that have kept up with the times but cannot be said to be fashionable clothing.
