INDIVIDU NEUROSIS DALAM NOVEL PINDHANG WUTAH KARYA TULUS SETIYADI (KAJIAN PSIKOANALISIS SOSIAL KAREN HORNEY)

INDIVIDUAL NEUROSIS IN THE NOVEL PINDHANG WUTAH BY TULUS SETIYADI (A STUDY OF KAREN HORNEY SOCIAL PSYCHOANALYSIS) 

Novel Pindhang Wutah karya Tulus Setiyadi menunjukkan tokoh utama mengalami masalah kejiwaan neurosis. Gangguan neurosis mempunyai pengaruh terhadap kepribadian, dilihat dari kecemasan, emosi, kurang perhatian lingkungan, kurang energi fisik, dan motorik. Masalah kejiwaan yang dialami menyebabakan gangguan psikis karena konflik interpersonal dan konflik intrapsikis sehingga menumbuhkan usaha mengatasi konflik dalam lingkungan sosial-budaya. Penelitian mempunyai tujuan untuk mengetahui wujud konflik interpersonal, wujud konflik intrapsiksis, dan cara mengatasi konflik individu neurosis dalam novel Pindhang Wutah karya Tulus Setiyadi. Peneliti menggunakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang menekankan analisis suatu objek. Kajian yang digunakan yaitu psikoanalisis sosial Karen Horney. Data dalam penelitian berupa kalimat yang berhubungan dengan rumusan masalah. Sumber data penelitian yaitu novel bahasa Jawa dengan judul Pindhang Wutah karya Tulus Setiyadi. Tata cara mengumpulkan data menggunakan teknik kapustakan atau dokumentasi dengan cara menentukan unit analisis, menentukan data, dan mencatat data. Mengumpulkan data yang berhubungan dengan objek kemudian menganalisis menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian terbagi menjadi tiga. Pertama konflik interpersonal individu neurosis ditemukan tujuh wujud konflik yaitu konflik hubungan kasih sayang dan penerimaan, konflik neurosis pasangan yang bersedia mengambil alih kehidupannya, konflik membatasi kehidupan dalam ranah sempit, konflik kekuasaan, konflik mengeksploitasi orang lain, konflik pengakuan sosial atau prestise, konflik kesempurnaan dan ketaktercelaan. Kedua konflik intrapsikis individu neurosis ditemukan empat wujud konflik yaitu diri rendah, diri nyata, diri ideal, dan diri aktual. Terakhir yaitu cara mengatasi konflik ditemukan tiga cara yaitu bergerak mendekati orang lain, bergerak melawan orang lain, dan bergerak menjauhi orang lain. Dari penelitian ini dapat diketahui individu neurosis dipengaruhi konflik interpersonal, konflik intrapsikis, dan cara untuk mengatasi konflik, dilihat dari munculnya neurotik berupa kecemasan, perubahan emosi dan perasaan, dan tingkah laku positif dan negatif yang menyebabkan perasaan sedih, kehilangan kepercayaan diri, kecewa, pertengkaran, cemburu, sakit hati, hingga memiliki keiginan mati. Individu neurosis dalam novel Pindhang Wutah mengalami konflik interpersonal yang condong terhadap konflik hubungan kasih sayang dan penerimaan serta konflik neurosis pasangan yang bersedia mengambil seluruh kehidupannya. Konflik intrapsikis condong terhadap rendah diri dan mengatasi konflik condong mendekati orang lain.

The novel Pindhang Wutah by Tulus Setiyadi shows that the main character experiences neurosis. Neurosis disorders have an influence on personality, seen from anxiety, emotions, lack of environmental attention, lack of physical energy, and motor skills. The psychiatric problems experienced cause psychological disorders due to interpersonal conflicts and intrapsychic conflicts that foster efforts to overcome conflicts in the socio-cultural environment. The research aims to find out the form of interpersonal conflict, the form of intrapsychic conflict, and how to overcome the conflict of neurotic individuals in the novel Pindhang Wutah by Tulus Setiyadi. Researchers use descriptive qualitative research that emphasizes the analysis of an object. The study used is Karen Horney's social psychoanalysis. Data in the form of sentences related to the formulation of the problem. The research data source is a Javanese novel entitled Pindhang Wutah by Tulus Setiyadi. The procedure for collecting data uses library or documentation techniques by determining the unit of analysis, determining data, and recording data. Collecting data related to the object then analyzing using descriptive analysis. The results of the study are divided into three. First, the interpersonal conflict of neurotic individuals found seven forms of conflict, namely conflict of affection and acceptance relationships, conflict of neurosis partners who are willing to take over their lives, conflict of limiting life in a narrow realm, conflict of power, conflict of exploiting others, conflict of social recognition or prestige, conflict of perfection and imperfection. Second, the intrapsychic conflict of neurotic individuals found four forms of conflict, namely the low self, real self, ideal self, and actual self. Finally, how to resolve conflicts found three ways, namely moving closer to others, moving against others, and moving away from others. From this study, it can be seen that neurotic individuals are influenced by interpersonal conflicts, intrapsychic conflicts, and ways to overcome conflicts, seen from the emergence of neurotics in the form of anxiety, changes in emotions and feelings, and positive and negative behaviors that cause feelings of sadness, loss of confidence, disappointment, quarrels, jealousy, heartache, to have a desire to die. Neurotic individuals in the novel Pindhang Wutah experience interpersonal conflicts that lean towards conflicts of affection and acceptance relationships and neurotic conflicts of partners who are willing to take their entire lives. Intrapsychic conflict tends to inferiority and overcoming conflict tends to approach others.
