Application of Animal Skin Art Motif Printing in Party Clothing

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui perwujudan penerapan printing animal skin art pada busana pesta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah three stage design process, yang terdiri dari 3 tahapan, dimulai dari tahap problem definition & research, menentukan sasaran pasar, kemudian tahap creative exploration, menentukan sumber ide, rencana warna, desain ilustrasi, dan rencana bahan, dan pada tahap implementations mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan dan penerapan printing animal skin art pada busana pesta. Proses pembuatan rekayasa kain berupa printing tekstil dengan teknik sublim melalui berbagai macam proses dimulai dari proses penyiapan desain gambar animal skin art, lalu mem-printing gambar animal skin art pada kertas sublim dengan tinta sublim, kemudian mem-pressing kain dan kertas sublim pada mesin press secara bersamaan untuk memindahkan gambar dari kertas sublim ke permukaan kain, dan yang terakhir memproses bahan menjadi sebuah busana pesta. Dari penelitian diperoleh hasil yang menyatakan bahwa, penerapan printing animal skin art dapat diterapkan dengan baik pada busana pesta sekaligus menjadi sebuah inovasi kreativitas seni untuk gaya mode busana pesta.

The purpose of the study was to determine the embodiment of the application of animal skin art printing in party dress. The research method used is the three stage design process, which consists of 3 stages, starting from the problem definition & research stage, determining the target market, then the creative exploration stage, determining the source of ideas, color plans, illustration designs, and material plans, and the implementations stage describe the process of making and applying animal skin art printing to party dress. The process of making fabric engineering in the form of textile printing with the sublime technique through various processes starting from the process of preparing the animal skin art image design, then printing the animal skin art image on sublime paper with sublime ink, then pressing the fabric and sublime paper on a press machine, simultaneously to transfer the image from the sublime paper to the surface of the fabric, and finally to process the material into a party dress. From the research, the results show that the application of animal skin art printing can be well applied to party dress as well as being an artistic creativity innovation for party fashion styles.
