Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis web inkuiri pada materi ekosistem pelajaran IPA di Sekolah Menengah Pertama yang telah tervalidasi, berupa HTML 5 multimedia yang berisi materi-materi ekosistem dan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan multimedia tersebut dalam peningkatan hasil belajar pada mata pelajaran Biologi materi Ekosistem.
Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam dua tahap, yaitu tahap pengembangan multimedia pembelajaran dan tahap ujicoba hasil multimedia pembelajaran terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas VII Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Dalam mengembangkan multimedia pembelajaran digunakan model Borg & Gall ujicoba hasil produk menggunakan Randomized Control-Group Pretest-Posttest Design.
Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa hasil validasi multimedia pembelajaran dari ahli materi pembelajaran dan ahli media pembelajaran menunjukkan tidak ada yang perlu direvisi dan beberapa saran perbaikan. setelah proses perbaikan dilakukan maka dilanjutkan ke ujicoba perorangan dengan 3 responden, pada ujicoba ini diperoleh rata-rata tingkat pencapaian 92% yang berarti berada pada kualifikasi sangat tinggi (tidak perlu revisi), selanjutnya pada hasil uji coba kelompok kecil dengan 9 responden diperoleh rata-rata tingkat pencapaian 86 % yang berada pada kualifikasi tinggi (tidak perlu revisi), kemudian pada ujicoba kelompok besar dengan 32 responden diperoleh rata-rata tingkat pencapaian 79% yang juga berada pada kualifikasi tinggi (tidak perlu revisi), namun karena ada beberapa saran perbaikan dari responden yang dianggap penting maka dilakukan revisi. Dari uji statistik nilai rata-rata (mean) antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen pada pretest yang dilakukan diperoleh rata-rata yang tidak berbeda secara signifikan hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua kelas memiliki kemampuan yang sama. Setelah proses pembelajaran dilakukan diperoleh hasil posttest yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai dari kedua kelas, namun peningkatan nilai berbeda secara signifikan dimana kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis web inkuiri memiliki nilai yang lebih tinggi. Berdasarkan data-data tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa telah dihasilkan multimedia pembelajaran berbasis web inkuiri yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VII SMP pada materi ekosistem mata pelajaran IPA Kelas 7 SMP.

This study aims to produce a web-based inquiry learning multimedia on the Ecosystem learning material in Science subject at validated junior high schools, in the form of HTML 5 multimedia, containing Ecosystem learning material. It also aims to determine the effect of using multimedia in improving learning outcomes in Biology subjects on Ecosystem learning material.
This research was carried out in two stages, namely the stage of developing learning multimedia and the stage of testing the results of multimedia learning to improve student learning outcomes for grade VII Junior High School students. In developing learning multimedia, the Borg & Gall model was used to test the product results using Randomized Control-Group Pretest-Posttest Design.
The results of data analysis showed that the results of the validation of learning multimedia, from learning materials experts and learning media experts, didn’t have to be revised but some suggestions for improvement were needed. After the improvement process was carried out, it was continued to individual trials with 3 respondents, in this trial an average achievement rate of 92% was obtained which means that it was in a very high qualification (no need for revision). Then, the results of small group trials with 9 respondents obtained an average achievement rate of 86% which was categorized in high qualification (no need for revision). Next, in a large group trial with 32 respondents, it was obtained an average achievement rate of 79% which was also in high qualification (no need for revision). Because there were some suggestions for improvement from respondents which were considered important, revisions were made. From the statistical test, the average value (mean) between the control class and the experimental class in the pretest that was carried out, it was obtained that the average was not significantly different, this indicates that the two classes have the same ability. After the learning process was carried out, the post test results showed an increase in the value of the two classes, but the increase in value was significantly different in which the experimental class using inquiry web-based learning multimedia had a higher score. Based on these data, it can be concluded that a web-based inquiry learning multimedia that has been produced, can improve the learning outcomes of VII graders of junior high school on the Ecosystem learning material in Science subjects for grade 7 junior high school.
