Technology Adaptation Structuration at Elementary School in Poter Bangkalan Village, Madura

Pembelajaran daring merupakan satu upaya yang digalakkan pemerintah untuk menghadapi kondisi pandemi di Indonesia. Hal tersebut dilakukan pemerintah guna tetap terciptanya pendidikan yang stabil di era pandemi dengan merubah metode pembelajaran konvensional menjadi pembelajaran jarak jauh yang berbasis digital. Pada masa pandemi dan setelahnya teknologi telah menjadi sebuah kebutuhan sekaligus sebagai arah untuk bergerak maju di dalam bidang pendidikan. Namun kondisi tuntutan teknologi di bidang pendidikan justru menimbulkan masalah baru bagi sekolah dasar yang berada di Desa Poter. Desa Poter menjadi lokasi yang masih gagap dalam penggunaan teknologi di sekolah. Kurangnya fasilitas serta keterbatasan sumber daya guru di sekolah desa mengakibatkan proses adaptasi terhadap teknologi di sekolah membutuhkan waktu yang lebih lama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui akar masalah adaptasi teknologi di sekolah yang ada di desa Poter. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menyajikan solusi konstruktif atas data penelitian dari sekolah yang mampu beradaptasi dengan sistem pendidikan berbasis teknologi yang sedang berlangsung pesat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teori yang digunakan sebagai pisau analisis pada penelitian ini adalah teori strukturasi oleh Anthony Giddens. Hasil dari penelitian menjelaskan bahwa interaksi antara agen dan struktur yang terjadi di lingkungan sekolah SDN Poter 1 menghasilkan strukturasi atau rutinitas baru terhadap keberadaan teknologi. Hasil interaksi tersebut menghasilkan dualitas yang menciptakan praktik sosial. Masalah praktik sosial adaptasi teknologi mengalami kebuntuan di SDN Poter 2, karena dualitas agen dan strukturnya tidak menghasilkan rutinitas yang mengarah pada praktik sosial adaptasi teknologi. Sedangkan, strukturasi adaptasi teknologi muncul dalam praktik sosial di SDN Poter 1. Hal ini bisa terjadi karena adanya dualitas agen dan struktur yang menghasilkan rutinitas positif atas adaptasi teknologi di ruang pendidikannya.

Online learning is an effort that is being promoted by the government to deal with the pandemic conditions in Indonesia. This was done by the government in order to continue to create stable education in the pandemic era by changing conventional learning methods to digital-based distance learning. During the pandemic and after, technology has become a necessity as well as a direction to move forward in the field of education. However, the condition of technological demands in the field of education has created new problems for the elementary schools in Poter Village. Poter Village is a location that is still stuttering in the use of technology in schools. The lack of facilities and limited teacher resources in village schools resulted in the adaptation process to technology in schools taking longer. The purpose of this research is to find out the root of the problem of technology adaptation in schools in the village of Poter. In addition, this research also provides constructive solutions to research data from schools that are able to adapt to the rapidly developing technology-based education system. This study uses qualitative methods by collecting data using observation, interviews and documentation. The theory used as an analytical tool in this study is the structuration theory by Anthony Giddens. The results of the study explain that the interactions between agents and structures that occur in the school environment at SDN Poter 1 produce new structuring or routines for the existence of technology. The results of these interactions produce a duality that creates social practices. The problem of social practice of technological adaptation is deadlocked at SDN Poter 2, because the duality of agency and structure does not produce routines that lead to social practice of technological adaptation. Meanwhile, the structuration of technological adaptation appears in social practice at SDN Poter 1. This can happen because of the duality of agency and structure which produces positive routines for technological adaptation in the educational space.
