MAKNA SIMBOLIS GERAK DAN TATA BUSANA TARI SATRIYO PINAYUNGAN DI SANGGAR SAYUWIWIT KECAMATAN ROGOJAMPI KABUPATEN BANYUWANGI
THE SYMBOLIC MEANING OF MOVEMENT AND DANCE CLOTHING FOR SATRIYO PINAYUNGAN IN SANGGAR SAYUWIWIT, ROGOJAMPI DISTRICT, BANYUWANGI REGENCY
Tari Satriyo Pinayungan ini salah satu karya tari dari Sanggar Sayuwiwit yang cukup terkenal di masyarakat Rogojampi dan memiliki ide garap menarik dari suatu peristiwa adu tanding. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan makna simbolik gerak dan tata busana tari Satriyo Pinayungan yang bisa berguna bagi masyarakat Banyuwangi untuk mengetahui perjuangan para pahlawan Blambangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Suzzane K Langer dengan metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah Jajulaidi, Nanang, dan Ida Ani. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, wawancara online, dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan Langkah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan menarik kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dilakukan menggunakan triangulasi.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gerak tari Satriyo Pinayungan yaitu gerak kelit, pencak’an, onclang, budalan perang, selup, dan sembahan termasuk teori simbol diskursif sehingga ragam gerak ini dipertahankan di dalam tari Satriyo Pinayungan disesuaikan dengan kehidupan kisah tradisi murni yang dikembangkan yang sesuai masa kini. Selain itu makna simbol presentasional terdapat pada tata busana yang terdiri dari udeng, baju merah, celana modifikasi, sabuk, dan sembong bahwa di dalam karya ini memiliki maksud atau pesan yang disampaikan pada penonton bahwa perjalanan ksatria yakni untuk melindungi diri dan tanah airnya serta selalu berdoa meminta perlindungan dan ucapan rasa bersyukur memiliki kepercayaan dan keberanian untuk melaksanakan tugas dengan baik sehingga dapat juga dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai budaya jadi masyarakat bisa menanamkan keberanian dalam di kehidupan sehari-hari.

This Satriyo Pinayungan dance is one of the dance works from Sanggar Sayuwiwit which is quite well known in the Rogojampi community and has an interesting idea of working on a duel event. This study aims to describe the symbolic meaning of the motion and fashion of the Satriyo Pinayungan dance which can be useful for the people of Banyuwangi to find out the struggles of the Blambangan heroes. This study uses the theory of Suzzane K Langer with this research method using a qualitative research approach. The data sources of this research are Jajulaidi, Nanang, and Ida Ani. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation, online interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out descriptively with data reduction steps, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested using triangulation.
The results showed that the Satriyo Pinayungan dance movements, namely kelit, pencak'an, onclang, war budalan, selup, and worship movements are included in the theory of discursive symbols so that this variety of movements is maintained in the Satriyo Pinayungan dance adapted to the life of pure traditional stories that were developed according to the current masses. . In addition, the meaning of the presentational symbol is found in the dress code which consists of udeng, red shirt, modified pants, belt, and sembong that in this work has a purpose or message conveyed to the audience that the journey of a knight is to protect himself and his homeland and always pray. asking for protection and expressing gratitude for having the trust and courage to carry out their duties well so that they can also be linked to cultural values so that people can instill courage in their daily lives.
