Pendidikan bagi siswa tunagrahita ringan di jenjang SMALB lebih diutamakan pada keterampilan vokasional, dengan keterampilan vokasional tersebut dapat dijadikan bekal untuk siswa tunagrahita ringan agar mampu mandiri. Keterampilan vokasional yang diberikan di SLB Siti Hajar Sidoarjo yaitu keterampilan laundry. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh metode forward chaining terhadap keterampilan laundry bagi siswa tunagrahita ringan.
Rancangan penelitian menggunakan pre experimental. Pada penelitian ini teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik non-parametik. Jumlah subyek penelitian sebanyak 6 siswa tunagrahita ringan. Rata-rata hasil posttest sebanyak 89 dengan pemberian treatment sebanyak 10 kali. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan nilai kritis 5%. Berdasarkan oleh hasil analisis data dapat diketahui hasil nilai p(x) adalah 0,00217 yang lebih kecil dari nilai krisis a 5% yaitu 1,0000 . Apabila diketahui p(x) ≤ a maka membuktikan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “ada pengaruh metode forward chaining terhadap keterampilan laundry bagi siswa tunagrahita ringan“.

Education for mild mentally retardation students in SMALB level was prioritized more to vocational skill. With the vocational skill, it could be a provision for mild mentally retardation students so that they could be autonomous. The vocational skill given in SLB Siti Hajar Sidoarjo was laundry skill. This research had purpose to observe the influence of forward chaining method toward laundry skill for mild mentally retardation students.
The research arrangement used pre-experiment. In this research, the technique of data analysis used was statistic non parametric. The research subject was 6 mild mentally retardation students. The average result of posttest was 89 with 10 times treatment. In this research it was used critic value, 5%. Based on the result of data analysis it could be known that the value result p(X) was 0,00217 which was smaller than critic value α 5% i.e. 1,0000. If it had been known p(X) ≤ α it would have proven that Ho was refused and Ha was accepted so it could be concluded that “there was influence of forward chaining method toward laundry skill for mild mentally retardation students”.
