PENERAPAN HIASAN MOTIF DAUN KELAPA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN TEKNIK BORDIR DAN PAYET PADA BUSANA PENGANTIN

COCONUT LEAF DECORATION APPLICATION USING EMBROIDERY AND SEQUEST TECHNIQUES ON BRIDAL CLOTHES

Pohon Kelapa (Cocos nucifera L.) termasuk dalam genus Cocos dan dapat tumbuh dengan mudah di daerah tropis. Busana Pengantin ini menggunakan busana two piece dengan siluet mermaid dengan tambahan  ekor yang dapat dilepas pasang. Berdasarkan sumber ide tersebut, penulis membuat hiasan busana pengantin dengan teknik bordir dan payet. Hiasan daun kelapa dengan menggunakan Teknik bordir dan payet diterapkan pada gaun dan ekor gaun. Payet merupakan benda kecil yang bisa memberi arti besar apabila diperlakukan dengan sentuhan sulam dari tangan terampil. Dalam pembuatan busana pengantin menerapkan hiasan daun kelapa pada bagian muka dan ekor gaun dengan bentuk yang asimetris. Tujuan dari penulisan artikel ini yaitu 1) untuk mewujudkan penciptaan hiasan daun kelapa dengan teknik bordir dan payet. 2) mengetahui proses pembuatan hiasan daun kelapa dengan Teknik bordir dan payet. 3) mengetahui hasil jadi penerapan hiasan daun kelapa dengan teknik boedir dan payet pada busana pengantin. Metode yang digunakan adalah A Three-Stage Design Process (LaBat & Sokolowski, 1999). Metode dalam pembuatan busana pengantin ini terdapat 3 tahapan yaitu 1) problem definition and research 2) creative exploration 3) implementation.

Coconut tree (Cocos nucifera L.) belongs to the genus Cocos and can grow easily in the tropics. This wedding dress uses a two-piece outfit with a mermaid silhouette with an additional detachable tail. Based on the source of the idea, the author makes wedding dress decorations with embroidery and sequin techniques. Coconut leaf decoration with embroidery and sequin techniques is applied to the dress and the tail of the dress. Sequins are small objects that can give a big meaning when processed with a touch of embroidery from a skilled hand. In the manufacture of wedding dresses, the application of coconut leaf ornaments on the face and tail of the dress with an asymmetrical shape. The purpose of writing this article is 1) to realize the creation of coconut leaf ornaments with embroidery and sequin techniques. 2) knowing the process of making coconut leaf ornaments with embroidery and sequin techniques. 3) knowing the final result of applying coconut leaf decoration with boedir and sequin techniques on bridal clothing. The method used is A Three-Stage Design Process (LaBat & Sokolowski, 1999). The method in making this wedding dress has 3 stages, namely 1) problem definition and research 2) creative exploration 3) implementation.
