ABSTRAK

Kata Kunci :Dominasi, Negara, RakyatKarya sastra merupakan cerminan dari dunia nyata, seperti halnya novel Mangun karya Sergius Sutanto yang mengangkat isu mengenai penindasan yang dilakukan oleh negara terhadap masyarakat yang tinggal di Kedung Ombo dan Kali Code. Penindasan tersebut tidak hanya berupa gertakan atau ancaman, tetapi juga berupa kekerasan yang melibatkan polisi dan tentara. Sehingga teori yang tepat untuk membedah novel Mangun karya Sergius Sutanto adalah Teori Dominasi Karl Marx. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk dan juga dampak dominasi yang dilakukan oleh negara atas rakyat dalam novel Mangun karya Sergius Sutanto melalui ekonomi, budaya, sosial, politik, agama, dan seni. Menurut Marx materi merupakan pusat utama dalam kehidupan manusia. Faktor ekonomi yang merupakan infrastruktur (lapisan atas) menjadi motor penggerak yang mempengaruhi superstruktur (lapisan bawah). Superstruktur meliputi bidang budaya, sosial, agama, dan seni. yang melahirkan kesadaran sosial dan mempengaruhi perilaku sosial manusia hingga terbentuklah kelas sosial. marx membagi dua kelas sosial yakni kelas borjuis dan proletar. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa adanya perlakuan dominasi yang dilakukan negara atas rakyat melalui ekonomi, budaya, sosial, politik, agama, dan seni. Perlakuan dominasi negara atas rakyat tersebut juga terjadi dalam dunia nyata. Selain itu, dominasi tersebut juga berdampak pada ekonomi, budaya, sosial, politik, agama, dan seni dalam novel Mangun karya Sergius Sutanto.

Literary works are a reflection of the real world, as is the novel Mangun by Sergius Sutanto which raises the issue of state oppression against people living in Kedung Ombo and Kali Code. The Repression was not only in the form of violence involving the police and army. So that the right theory to the dissect the novel Mangun by Sergius Sutanto is Karl Marx’s Domination Theory. This Study  aims to describe the form and also the impact of domination carried out by the state on the people in Sergius Sutanto’s novel Mangun through economic, cultural, social, political, religious, and artistic. According to Marx material is the main center in human life. The economic factor which is the infrastructur (upper layer) becomes the driving force that affects the superstructure (lower layer). The superstructur covers the fields of culture, social, religion, and art. Which gives birth to social awareness and influences human social behavior to from social classes. Marx divides two social classes namely bourgeois and proletarian classes. The results of this study found that there was a state of domination treatment of the people through the economy, culture, social, politics, religion, and art. The treatment of state domination over the people also accurs in the real world. In addition, this domination also had an impact on the economy, culture, social, politics, religion, and art in the novel Mangun by Sergius Sutanto.
