Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) Mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier siswa SMK sebelum dan sesudah penerapan cognitive information procesing (CIP) dengan peta argumen. (2) Mendeskripsikan penerapan cognitive information procesing (CIP) dengan peta argumen dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier siswa SMK.
Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif eksperimen dengan desain pre experimen One Group Pre Test Post-Test Design. Subjek penelitian ini berjumlah 8 siswa yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan wawancara, skala kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier dan jurnal refleksi diri. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Dependen Sample t-test dengan SPSS 26 for window. Data hasil penelitian diperoleh berdasarkan skala kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier sebelum diberikan inetrevensi berupa penerapan Cognitive Information Processing (CIP) dengan peta argumen menunjukkan skor rata-rata pretest subjek penelitian sebesar 68,75 dan rata-rata skor postest sebesar 90, selain itu berdasarkan hasil tes statistik melalui uji t-test diperoleh thitung = 9,039 yang berarti > ttabel = 2,395 pada taraf signifikansi 5% menunjukkan bahwa Sig.(2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 yang berarti < 0,005 sehingga Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima.
Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan pengambilan keputusan karier siswa SMK sebelum dan sesudah penerapan cognitive information procesing (CIP) dengan peta argumen.

(2) Describe the application of cognitive information processing (CIP) with the solution of arguments in improving the ability to make career decisions of vocational students.This research is a quantitative study with pre-experimental One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design. The subjects of this study were taken 8 students who were taken by purposive sampling technique. Data collection methods in this study used interviews, decision making scales and self-reflection journals. The data analysis technique used is Dependent Sample t-test with SPSS 26 for window. The research data obtained based on the requirements taken before the intervention was given which included the application of Cognitive Information Processing (CIP) with an argument map that produced an average pretest research score of 68.75 and an average post-test score of 90, in addition to producing results Statistical tests through the t-test obtained tcount = 9.039 which means> ttable = 2.395 at a significance level of 5% indicating that Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 which means <0.005 means that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted.Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the ability to make decisions with students before and after the application of cognitive information processing (CIP) with an argument map.
