The Development of a Monitoring System for Flood Mitigation Applications Using NodeMCU ESP8266
Flood monitoring system is a system used to monitor water levels at safe or potentially flood-prone levels. Previous research on flood monitoring systems utilized Telegram as a medium to convey information on water level status. The average time required for the Telegram application to inform users of water level status was between 10 to 15 seconds. In this study, a flood monitoring system was developed using an Android application with Websocket as the protocol for data exchange traffic. From the tests conducted on this system, the average time required for the developed system to inform users of water level status was 1.214 seconds.
