In the era of
globalization everything has changed including culture, in various regions in
Indonesia has experienced a cultural shift, therefore it can be assumed that in
Bawean Island there have also been changes including the mutual cooperation
culture. Cultural changes can occur because the development of science and
technology has entered Bawean Island. The ease of accessing information from
outside the Bawean community can produce new ideas that encourage the culture
of the Bawean community to change. The purpose of this research is to describe
the transformation of the forms of mutual cooperation in the activities of the
Republic of Indonesia Independence Day commemoration in the era of
globalization and to describe the transformation of mutual cooperation
participation in the Bawean Island community towards mutual cooperation in the
activities of the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia in the era of
globalization. . This study presents a series of changes in the forms of mutual
cooperation and forms of mutual cooperation that occurred in the Bawean Island
community in the era of globalization. These changes are examined from the
perspective of Roy Bhaskar's theory. This study uses a qualitative approach
according to Sugiono's perspective. This research design is a case study
research design. Research subjects were individuals who were involved in mutual
cooperation activities in commemoration of the Republic of Indonesia's
independence day. Infoman was chosen using purposive sampling technique.
Meanwhile, the data collection techniques used were in-depth interviews and
documentation.
The results showed that
there was a series of forms of mutual cooperation that experienced repetition
of the ancestral heritage and there was a form of participation that underwent
transformation. The first change in the culture of mutual cooperation that
experienced reproduction was found in sub-indicators including: (1) the concept
of mutual cooperation: starting from activities in an effort to help the
interests of the village, working together without compensation, to building
cohesiveness and social solidarity. (2) Implementation of mutual cooperation:
Clean up the village environment, mutual cooperation to build the field and
stage, (3) Active participation: labor participation, consumption participation,
(4) Passive participation: not disturbing and not participating, not supporting
and not participating, not supporting and participate. Second, the
transformation of mutual cooperation culture that underwent transformation was,
Active participation: participation of ideas. The change in the participation
of this idea has encouraged the village government to continue to be more
democratic.
