PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA SEMI KONKRET DALAM MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MEMECAHKAN MASALAH SOAL CERITA OPERASI BILANGAN SISWA KELAS 1 SEKOLAH DASAR
DEVELOPMENT OF SEMI-CONCRETE MEDIA TO ENHANCE PROPBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS IN NUMERICAL OPERATIONS STORY PROBLEMS FOR GRADE 1 ELEMENTARY SCHOOL STUDENTS
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan menghasilkan media pembelajaran semi konkret untuk materi operasi bilangan penjumlahan dan pengurangan pada siswa kelas I sekolah dasar. Media ini dirancang khusus untuk meningkatkan keterampilan memecahkan masalah soal cerita, karena siswa sebelumnya sering mengalami kesulitan membedakan apakah suatu soal termasuk penjumlahan atau pengurangan. Pengembangan media dilakukan menggunakan model ADDIE (Analysis, Desain, Development, Implentation, dan Evaluation). Kelayakan media ditinjau melalui aspek validitas, kepraktisan, dan keefektifan. Validitas media pembelajaran diuji oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Berdasarkan hasil aspek validasi materi memperoleh skor sebesar 92,85% tergolong katagori “sangat valid”, sedangkan hasil validasi media memperoleh skor sebesar 84% tergolong katagori “valid”. Aspek kepraktisan diukur melalui angket yang diberikan kepada guru dan siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa respon dari guru mencapai 100%, sementara respon dari siswa sebesar 94,25% yang keduanya termasuk dalam katagori “sangat praktis”. Adapun efektivitas media semi konkret dianalisis menggunakan uji N-Gain. Hasil uji menunjukkan nilai sebesar 0,77 yang termasuk dalam katagori “tinggi”, serta persentase N-Gain sebesar 76,77% yang termasuk katagori “sangat efektif”. Secara keseluruhan, media semi konkret ini dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai media bantu dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas 1 sekolah dasar.

This research is a development study aimed at producing semi-concrete learning media for addition and subtraction operations in Grade 1 elementary school students. The media is designed to enhance problem-solving skills in story problems, as students previously struggled to distinguish between addition and subtraction problems. The media was developed using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The feasibility of the media was assessed through aspects of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The validity of the learning media was tested by material and media experts. The material validation results showed a score of 92.85%, categorized as "very valid," while the media validation scored 84%, categorized as "valid." The practicality aspect was measured through questionnaires given to teachers and students. The analysis results showed a 100% response from teachers and 94.25% from students, both falling into the "very practical" category. The effectiveness of the semi-concrete media was analyzed using the N-Gain test, with a result of 0.77, categorized as "high," and an N-Gain percentage of 76.77%, categorized as "very effective." Overall, this semi-concrete media is declared suitable for use as a supplementary tool in mathematics learning for Grade 1 elementary school students.
