This study aims to (1) produce a valid, practical, and effective Guided Inquiry based learning tool to improve students 'science process skills (2) describe the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of Guided Inquiry based learning tools with REACT strategies to enhance students' science process skills in heat material Class V Theme 6 Sub Theme 2.
This research is a research development of learning tools that refer to the Dick and Carey development model. Guided Inquiry based learning tools with REACT Strategies are validated by experts. The results of the expert validation state that the learning device is very valid to be used to improve students' science process skills. Furthermore, it was tested on students of class V SDN Romokalisari 132 Surabaya with One Group Pretest - Postest Design.
The results of limited trials show (1) The learning tools developed are categorized as very valid. (2) Practical learning tools based on the implementation of RPP that are categorized as good and active student activities while learning (3) Learning tools are declared effective based on the results of the Science Process Skills test which shows 36 students have high n gain and 13 students are categorized as moderate n-gain and response very good student. It can be concluded that the Guided Inquiry-based learning tool with a REACT strategy is valid, practical and effective so that it is used to improve the science process skills of class V students on Theme 6 Sub Theme 2 heat material.
