Ekstensive reading merupakan salah satu metode pendekatan yang baik dalam memberikan dukungan pada proses belajar mengajar. Ini membantu meningkatkan minat baca siswa siswa yang cenderung semakin menurun. Menjelajahi tentang program membaca secara ekstensif melalui bahan bacaan bertingkat secara online merupakan bagian penting dalam penelitian ini. Oleh karena itu, tiga penelitian utama yang mendukung penelitian ini adalah: (1) Bagaimana bahan bacaan bergradasi online digunakan dalam program membaca ekstensif? (2) Bagaimana persepsi siswa tentang buku yang mereka baca melalui bahan bacaan bergradasi online? (3) Bagaimana bahan bacaan bergradasi online mempengaruhi motivasi membaca siswa? Sejumlah lima belas siswa sekolah dasar yang mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakuliler bahasa inggris yang dijadikan subjek dalam penelitian ini. Pendekatan kualitatif yang dipilih untuk menyelidiki anggapan siswa dalam proses kegiatan membaca secara ekstensif ini.
Dalam pengumpulan data menggunakan tehnik wawancara dan pengisian kuesioner. Temuan pada penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa (1) Siswa membaca buku sebanyak-banyaknya serta mereka diberikan kebebasan memilih buku sesuka mereka dan mayoritas siswa senang dengan membaca buku bacaan berjenjang secara online pada level 1-4; (2) Buku bacaan berjenjang secara online lebih efektif meningkatkan minat baca siswa karena mudah dibawa dan dibaca dimana saja; (3) Motivasi siswa muncul ketika mereka mendapatkan hadiah dari kegiatan membacanya yaitu pemerolehan kosakata baru. Hasil penemuan dalam penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi baru bagi guru untuk mengimplementasikan pendekatan membaca secara ekstensif dalam proses pembelajaran membaca, khususnya pada siswa Indonesia atau dalam konteks EFL yang serupa.

Extensive reading is a good approach in providing support to the teaching and learning process. This helps increase students' interest in reading which tends to decrease. Exploring extensive reading programs through online graded reading materials is an important part of this research. Therefore, three main studies that support this research are: (1) How are online graded reading materials used in the extensive reading program? (2) How do students perceive the book that they read through online graded reading materials? (3) How does online graded reading materials affect students' reading motivation? A total of fifteen elementary school students who took part in English extracurricular activities were the subjects of this study. A qualitative approach was chosen to investigate students perceive in the process of this extensive reading activity.In collecting data using interview techniques and filling out questionnaires. The findings in this study reveal that (1) Students read as many books as possible and they are given the freedom to choose books as they like and the majority of students are happy with reading online graded reading at levels 1-4; (2) Online graded reading materials is more effective in increasing students' interest in reading because it is easy to carry and read anywhere; (3) Student motivation arises when they get rewards from reading activities, namely the acquisition of new vocabulary. The findings in this study provide a new contribution for teachers to implement an extensive reading approach in the reading learning process, especially for Indonesian students or in a similar EFL context.
