Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan struktur cerita dalam setiap novel, motif, dan eksistensi yang ditinjau dari konsep perjalanan dan tujuan mistisisme dalam novel Misteri Perawan Kubur, Dendam Iblis Cantik, dan Dosa Turunan karya Abdullah Harahap dengan menggunakan kajian mistisisme Niels Mulder. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan objektif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dan simak catat. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif analitik dan metode hermeneutika terhadap data dengan melakukan beberapa langkah, yaitu (1) mencermati, (2) membaca heuristik dan hermenuitik, (3) menafsirkan, dan (4) menyajikan laporan hasil penelitian.

Hasil penelitian ini menemukan (1) struktur cerita yang dibagi menjadi fakta cerita terdiri dari alur,  penokohan, dan latar. Sarana cerita terdiri dari judul, tema, sudut pandang, gaya bahasa, dan amanat. Alur dari ketiga novel campuran, tokoh dari ketiga novel berjumlah 5 sampai 9 orang, latar tempat dan waktu merupakan peristiwa yang dialami para tokoh, sedangkan latar sosial budaya merupakan latar kepercayaan tokoh terhadap benda mitologi. Sudut pandang dalam novel Misteri Perawan Kubur orang pertama pelaku utama, sedangkan novel Dendam Iblis Cantik dan Dosa Turunan orang ketiga serba tahu. Tema mayor dalam novel MPK adalah dendam, sedangkan tema minor adalah imajinasi. Amanat novel MPK berisikan tentang tanggung jawab atas apa yang diperbuat. Tema mayor novel DIC adalah kepercayaan terhadap kuburan tua, sedangkan tema minor berisi tentang tuduhan sembarangan. Amanat novel DIC adalah jangan menghina orang lain. Tema mayor novel DT kepercayaan terhadap pohon keramat, sedangkan tema minor berisi tentang kutukan. Amanat novel DT adalah jangan percaya pada benda mitologi karena akan berdampak buruk (2) adanya motif berupa motif egoistis dan motif positif, motif egoistis ditunjukkan pada saat antartokoh melakukan tapa atau samadi yang bertujuan untuk mendapatkan keinginan yang bersifat pribadi, sedangkan motif positif untuk membantu memecahkan masalah orang lain dan menghancurkan sarana magis yang buruk, (3) eksistensi mistisisme pada saat para tokoh melakukan tapa atau meditasi dengan khusuk agar mencapai inti batin. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa novel Misteri Perawan Kubur, Dendam Iblis Cantik, dan Dosa Turunan karya Abdullah Harahap merupakan cerminan kepercayaan para tokoh pada hal-hal yang bersifat mistisisme.

This research aims to describe the story structure from each novel, motive, and existence from the scope of journey concept and mysticism’s aim in a novel Misteri Perawan Kubur, Dendam Iblis Cantik, and Dosa Turunan by Abdullah Harahap using Niels Mulder’s mysticism concept. This research used qualitative methodology with objective approach. Data collection techniques for this study arelibrary research and note taking. The analysis methods for this study are descriptive and hermeneutic method towards the data by doing some steps, such as (1) Analyze, (2) Heuristic and hermeneutic reading, (3) interpret, and (4) showing results.

The results of this study found (1) the structure of the story divided into the facts of the story consisting of plot, character and background. The story ingredients consist of title, theme, point of view, style of language, and mandate. The flow of the three mixed novels, figures from the three novels amounting 5 to 9 people, the place and time setting is an event experienced by the characters, while the socio-cultural background is the background of the character's belief in mythological objects. The viewpoint in the Misteri Perawan Kubur novel is the first main actor, while the Dendam Iblis Cantik and Dosa Turunan third-person novels are all-knowing. The major theme in the MPK novel is revenge, while the minor theme is imagination. The mandate of the novel MPK contains responsibility for what is done. The main theme of the DIC novel is trust in the old grave, while the minor theme contains careless accusations. The mandate of the DIC novel is not to insult others. Dosa Turunan major novel theme is trust in sacred trees, while minor themes are about curses. The mandate of novel DT is not to believe in mythological objects because it will adversely affect (2) the form of mysticism’s journey of achievement between character is only at lowest stage which is Sarengat stage where between characters are incline with soul, ancestor, hero, and mythology thing as a power source that need to be respected and believed that can granted any wish (3) the existence of mysticism when the leaders do meditation or meditate solemnly to reach the inner core. Thus it can be seen that the novel Misteri Perawan Kubur, Dendam Iblis Cantik, and Dosa Turunan of Abdullah Harahap's work are a reflection of the beliefs of the characters on mysticism.
