ABSTRACT
Mila, Khusnul
. 2025. The Influence of Project Based Learning Model with Design Thinking
Method on Collaboration Skills and Entity Relation Diagram Creation Ability of
Grade XI Software Engineering Students at SMK Negeri 1 Gending. Thesis,
Master’s Program in Educational Technology, Faculty of Education, Universitas
Negeri Surabaya. Advisors: ( I ) Prof. Dr. Rusijono, M.Pd. ( II ) Dr. Citra Kholidya, M.Pd.
Keywords: Design Thinking, Entity
Relationship Diagram, Project-Based Learning, Collaboration Skills, Creative
Ability.
This
study aims to determine: (1) the effect of the Project-Based Learning model on
collaboration skills; and (2) the ability to create Entity Relation Diagrams at
SMKN 1 Gending.
This
study applies a quantitative method with a quasi-experimental approach
(Quasi-Experimental Design), with a Nonrandomized Control Group,
Pretest–Posttest Design type. This study uses observation sheets, tests, and
assessment rubrics to collect data. The sample consists of students of class XI
RPL 1 (control) and XI RPL 2 (experimental) at SMKN 1 Gending. Data were
obtained through the results of observation sheets on collaboration skills and
tests on the ability to create Entity Relation Diagrams, then analyzed using
independent sample tests..
The
results of this study indicate that: (1) there is an influence of the Project
Based Learning model with the design thinking method on collaboration skills
with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000; and (2) there is an influence of
the Project Based Learning model with the design thinking method on creative
abilities with an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000. Therefore, it can be
concluded that: (1) The Project Based Learning model with the design thinking
method has a significant influence on collaboration skills; and (2) the ability
to create Entity Relation Diagrams in class XI students majoring in Software
Engineering
This study suggests the Project Based
Learning model with the design thinking method as a learning model that is able
to effectively develop students' collaboration skills and creative abilities,
especially in Software Engineering subjects
