PENERAPAN GATHERING PADA EKOR BUSANA PENGANTIN DENGAN SUMBER IDE GELOMBANG AIR DANAU LIPAN

Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses penerapan dan hasil jadi dari penerapan Single edge gathering pada ekor busana pengantin dengan sumber ide gelombang air danau lipan. Metode penciptaan karya yang digunakan adalah three stage designn process LaBat dan Sokolowski, 1999, yang terdiri dari 3 tahap, yaitu termasuk problem definition and resech, creative exploration dan juga implementation. Dari hasil yang didapat, Single edge gathering dapat digunakan atau diterapkan sebagai detail ekor atau langsung pada busana pengantin. Cara pembuatan Single edge gathering menggunakan jahitan kerut pada salah satu sisi tepi kain, dengan cara menarik benang setelah dijahit dengan setikan besar atau dengan tusukan jelujur dengan mengikuti pola yang telah digambar atau dijiplak pada permukaan kain. Karena jahitan ditarik maka pola bahan atau kain yang digunakan 2 kali dari lebar hasil jadi. Hasil jadi pada bagian ekor gaun pengantin sesuai dengan konsep perancangan, antara lain penggunaan siluet L, penggunaan single edge gathering menghasilkan kerutan yang bergelombang menyerupai gelombang air danau lipan dan diterapkan pada ekor busana pengantin dan menjadi pion utama pada busana pengantin ini.

The method of making Single edge gathering uses wrinkle stitching on one side of the fabric, by pulling the thread after sewing with a large stitch or by basting it by following the pattern that has been drawn or traced on the surface of the fabric. Because the stitches are pulled, the pattern of the material or fabric used is 2 times the width of the finished product. The finished results on the tail of the wedding dress are in accordance with the design concept, including the use of an L silhouette, the use of single edge gathering to produce wavy wrinkles resembling the water waves of a centipede lake and are applied to the tail of the wedding dress and become the main pawn in this wedding dress.
