MOTIF ATLET DARI KELUARGA MISKIN DALAM MENEKUNI OLAHRAGA HOCKEY DI KOTA SURABAYA

THE MOTIVATION OF ATHLETES FROM POOR FAMILY IN HOCKEY SPORTS IN THE CITY OF SURABAYA

Cabang  olahraga hockey identik  dengan  olahraga  mahal  karena  harus  membeli tongkat  dan  pelindung  yang  harganya  cukup  mahal. Hockey yang  menggunakan  peralatan yang  begitu  kompleks  sehingga  butuh  banyak  biaya  juga  diminati  oleh  kalangan  menengah kebawah.  Terdapat  beberapa  atlet  hockey  yang  tergabung  pada  pemusatan  latihan  cabang  ( PUSLATCAB  ) hockey kota  Surabaya  berasal  dari  latar  belakang  keluarga  miskin,  padahal olahraga  ini  dibutuhkan  biaya  yang  tidak  sedikit  untuk  memenuhi  peralatan  dan  juga perelengkapannya sedangkan  pendapatan  para  msayarakat  miskin  hanya  cukup  untuk memenuhi  kebutuhan  konsumtif  mereka  saja  atau  bahkan  kekurangan.  Dengan  mengikuti olahraga  tersebut  mereka  dituntut  untuk  memenuhi  perlengkapan  dan  peralatan  olahraga  ini dengan  biaya  yang  tidak  sedikit. Tujuan  penelitian  ini  yaitu mengidentifikasi  latar  belakang dan  tujuan  yang  ingin  dicapai  oleh subjek  penelitian dalam menekuni olahraga hockey. Metode  di  dalam  penelitian  ini  merupakan  penelitian  kualitatif  dengan  menggunakan pendekatan  fenomenologi  gagasan  Alfred  Schutz.  Fenomenologi  Alfred  Schutz  digunakan untuk mengkaji because motive (motif sebab) dan in order to motive (motif tujuan) dari para informan  yang  merupakan  masyarakat  miskin  dalam  menekuni  olahraga hockey.  Hasil penelitian  yakni because  motive (motif  sebab)  informan  menekuni  olahraga hockey karena adanya  rasa  ingin  tahu  mengenai  olahraga hockey,  termotivasi  oleh  orang  lain,  kemudahan dalam  bergabung,  serta  ingin  membanggakan  orangtua  mereka.  Tentu  setiap  tindakan  dari seseorang  memiliki  tujuan  yang  sudah  ditetapkan. in  order  to  motive (motif  tujuan)  mereka dalam  menekuni  olahraga  ini  ingin  mendapatkan prestasi,  melanjutkan  jenjang  pendidikan, serta menjadi pelatih untuk meneruskan para pendahulunya.

Hockey is synonymous with expensive sports because  you have to buy a stick and a protector  which  is  quite  expensive.  Hockey  that  uses  equipment  that  is  so  complex  that  it costs a lot of money is also in demand by the middle to lower class. There are several hockey athletes  who  are  members  of  the  Surabaya  hockey  branch  training  center  (PUSLATCAB) who come from a poor family background, even though this sport requires a lot of money to fulfill  the  equipment  and  accessories  while  the  income  of  the  poor  is  only  enough  to  meet their  consumptive  needs.  or  even  lack.  By  participating  in  this  sport,  they  are  required  to fulfill  the  equipment  and  sports  equipment  at  a  cost  that  is  not  small.  The  purpose  of  this study is to identify the background and goals to be achieved by research subjects in pursuing hockey.  The  method  in  this  research  is  qualitative research  using  the  phenomenological approach  of  Alfred  Schutz's  ideas.  Alfred  Schutz's  phenomenology  is  used  to  study  the because motive (cause motive) and in order to motive (objective motive) of informants who are  poor  people  in  pursuing  the  sport  of  hockey.  The  results  of  the  study  were  because  the informants'  motive  was  involved  in  hockey  because  of  their  curiosity  about  hockey,  being motivated by other people and wanting to make their parents proud. Of course every action of a person has a predetermined goal. in order to motive (goal motive) they want to pursue this sport  to  gain  achievements,  continue  their  education,  and  become  coaches  to  continue  their predecessors.
