Shawl fold shapes merupakan sebuah teknik mengubah kain dengan cara dilipat menjadi berbagi macam bentuk. Manipulating fabric inilah yang akan diterapkan pada busana pesta dibagian badan atas, pinggang dan peplum rok. Tujuan penulisan Tugas Akhir ini untuk: 1) mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes pada busana pesta bertema Stupa Borobudur, 2) hasil jadi penerapan manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes pada busana pesta bertema Stupa Borobudur. Metode rekayasa meliputi sumber ide, rencana warna, target pasar, rekayasa desain, desain manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes, analisis desain produksi, teknik melipat shawl fold shapes, proses pembuatan, hasil jadi manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes pada busana pesta bertema Stupa Borobudur. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan observasi dengan jumlah observer 10 dosen Tata Busana UNESA. Instrumen menggunakan lembar observasi. Pengolahan data menggunakan teknik metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil rekayasa: 1) proses pembuatan manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes pada busana pesta berawal dari sumber ide Stupa Borobudur, desain, teknik melipat manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes, penerapan manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes pada busana pesta menggunakan bentuk belah ketupat dan bentuk persegi, 2) hasil jadi penerapan manipulating fabric shawl fold shapes pada busana pesta bertema Stupa Borobudur memiliki kategori baik (sesuai).
