INSPIRASI GAYA SENI PSYCHEDELIC  PADA PERANCANGAN COVER SINGLE TERBARU MUSISI ‘YAMAMIARTHA’

Keberadaan musik tidak jauh dari desain grafis, beberapa contoh desain grafis umumnya menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung visual dari sebuah musik itu sendiri. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan adanya kebutuhan komunikasi visual untuk single terbaru dari musisi Yamamiartha yang berjudul On My Mind. Sebagai usaha untuk mengenalkan single On My Mind ini, maka dibutuhkannya perancangan komunikasi visual dalam upaya menyampaikan pesan dan membentuk citra single On My Mind. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan design thinking dengan sumber data berasal dari wawancara secara langsung dengan musisi Yamamiartha dan beberapa pendengar dari musik Yamamiartha, serta data dari internet. Visualisasi penerapan gaya psychedelic dengan penggunaan warna cerah atau vibrant merepresentasikan sisi kelembutan dari musik RnB/Soul dibalut dengan suasana musik pop. Untuk menyampaikan pesan dari lagu On My Mind dan memperkuat karakter musik perpaduan Rnb yang dibawakan oleh musisi Yamamiartha divisualisasikan dalam bentuk  ilustrasi.   Perancangan merupakan pesan yang terkandung dalam lirik lagu On My Mind sebagai  identitas baru dari  Yamamiartha. Sebagai inspirasinya menggunakan keindahan gaya seni psychedelic. Penerapan perancangan berupa desain cover album. Cover album ini diterapkan pada platform musik digital, seperti Sportify dan Apple Music.

The existence of music is not far from graphic design, some examples of graphic design are generally an important factor in supporting the visuals of the music itself. This research is motivated by the need for visual communication for the latest single from musician Yamamiartha entitled On My Mind. As an effort to introduce the single On My Mind, it is necessary to design a visual communication in an effort to convey messages and form the image of the single On My Mind. This study uses the design thinking method with data sources coming from direct interviews with musicians Yamamiartha and some listeners from Yamamiartha's music, as well as data from the internet. Visualization of the application of the psychedelic style with the use of bright colors or vibrant, can represent the soft side of RnB/Soul music wrapped in a pop music atmosphere. The results showed that the design work with the illustration approach was chosen because it was able to translate the message in visual form, so it is expected to be able to form the message of the song On My Mind and strengthen the musical character of the combination of Rnb and psychedelics performed by musician Yamamiartha. Conclusion This design aims to convey the message contained in the lyrics of the song On My Mind as a song with a new identity from musician Yamamiartha who uses the beauty of the psychedelic art style as his inspiration.  The application of the design is in the form of album cover design. This album cover was applied to digital music platforms, such as Sportify and Apple Music.
