Peran Prokrastinasi Akademik terhadap Adaptabilitas Karier pada Mahasiswa
The Role of Academic Procrastination on Career Adaptability in College Students
Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui peran prokrastinasi akademik terhadap adaptabilitas karier pada mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian berjumlah 223 mahasiswa Psikologi angkatan 2024 Universitas Negeri Surabaya, yang dipilih melalui teknik simple random sampling. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari Academic Procrastination Scale dan skala career adaptability. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat peran yang signifikan antara prokrastinasi akademik dengan adaptabilitas karier, dengan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 (p < 0,05) dan t hitung -5.019 (-5.019 < -1,971). Peran yang ditunjukan bersifat negatif atau berlawanan yang berarti semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik, maka adaptabilitas karier akan semakin rendah, begitu pula sebaliknya, jika prokrastinasi akademik semakin rendah, maka adaptabilitas karier semakin tinggi.
This study was conducted with the aim of determining the role of academic procrastination on career adaptability in College students. This study uses a quantitative approach. The subjects in the study were 223 Psychology students of the 2024 class of Surabaya State University, who were selected through a simple random sampling technique. The research instruments used in this study consisted of the Academic Procrastination Scale and the career adaptability scale. The results of the data analysis showed that there was a significant role between academic procrastination and career adaptability, with a significance value of 0.000 (p <0.05) and a t count of -5.019 (-5.019 < -1.971). The role shown is negative or opposite, meaning that the higher the academic procrastination, the lower the career adaptability, and vice versa, if the academic procrastination is lower, the higher the career adaptability.
