BATIK LUKIS MIX ECOPRINT PADA EKSTRAKURIKULER KHADIJAH ART COMMUNITY DI SMA KHADIJAH SURABAYA
BATIK PAINTING MIX ECOPRINT IN THE KHADIJAH ART COMMUNITY EXTRACURRICULAR AT KHADIJAH SURABAYA HIGH SCHOOL
Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Khadijah Art Community di SMA Khadijah Surabaya sangat beragam siswa anggota ekstrakurikuler biasanya melakukan kegiatan berkarya seni seperti membuat mural pada dinding sekolah yang kosong, membuat lukisan pada kanvas, melukis pada piring, berkreasi dengan clay, dan membuat gambar digital. Dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler ini masih kurang untuk mengeksplor lebih banyak lagi media baru yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk berkarya seni seperti batik lukis dan juga ecoprint.
Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah Mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan (1) persiapan dari pembuatan batik Lukis mix ecoprint. (2) Proses pelaksanaan pembuatan batik lukis mix. (3) Hasil karya batik lukis mix ecoprint. (4) Tanggapan tanggapan guru pembimbing dan siswa anggota ekstrakurikuler terhadap pembuatan batik lukis mix ecoprint pada ekstrakurikuler Khadijah Art Community di SMA Khadijah Surabaya.
Penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data mengenai penelitian batik lukis mix ecoprint pada ekstrakurikuler Khadijah Art Community di SMA Khadijah Surabaya dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, hasil karya batik lukis mix ecoprint , dan angket. Teknik analisis data meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi data.
Persiapan dari pembuatan batik lukis mix ecoprint ini dilakukan oleh peneliti untuk menyusun materi batik lukis mix ecoprint, membuat media contoh karya batik lukis mix ecoprint dan mempersiapkan bahan dan alat pembuatan batik lukis mix ecoprint. Proses pelaksanaan pembuatan batik lukis mix ecoprint pada ekstrakurikuler Khadijah Art Community di SMA Khadijah Surabaya ini dilakukan selama 5 kali pertemuan dari tanggal 9 Agustus 2024 hingga 13 September 2024. Pertemuan pertama yaitu penyampaian materi tentang batik lukis dan ecoprint, memberikan contoh karya batik lukis mix ecoprint , pembagian kelompok, dan diskusi konsep karya batik lukis mix ecoprint . Pertemuan kedua yaitu proses pembuatan ecoprint dengan teknik pounding menggunakan palu. Pertemuan ketiga yaitu proses menggambar sketsa pada kain ecoprint, dan proses pencantingan batik pada kain menggunakan malam batik. Pertemuan keempat yaitu proses pewarnaan pada kain batik dengan menggunakan pewarna remasol. Pertemuan kelima yaitu proses fiksasi kain menggunakan cairan waterglass, pelorodan kain, pengisian angket oleh siswa, dan wawancara terhadap guru pembimbing ekstrakurikuler Khadijah Art Community.
Hasil karya batik lukis mix ecoprint pada kegiatan penelitian ini ada sebanyak 5 karya pada kain berukuran 1 meter x 1 meter. Terdapat satu kelompok yang memperoleh nilai 95 yang masuk pada katergori sangat baik, ada dua kelompok yang mendapatkan nilai 90 yang masuk pada kategori baik, dan ada dua kelompok yang mendapatkan nilai 85 dan masuk pada kategori baik. Dari hasil karya batik lukis mix ecoprint yang telah dibuat oleh siswa ekstrakurikuler Khadijah Art Community dapat dilihat bahwa para siswa dapat melakukan praktik berkarya yang kreatif dengan hasil yang memuaskan. Kegiatan penelitian ini mendapatkan tanggapan yang positif baik dari guru pembimbing dan siswa ekstrakurikuler Khadijah Art Community.

The extracurricular activities of Khadijah Art Community at SMA Khadijah Surabaya are very diverse, students who are members of the extracurricular usually do art activities such as making murals on empty school walls, making paintings on canvas, painting on plates, being creative with clay, and making digital images. In this extracurricular activity, there is still a lack of exploring more new media that can be used for art such as painted batik and also ecoprint.
The purpose of this study is to find out and describe (1) the preparation of making mixed ecoprint painted batik. (2) The process of making mixed painted batik. (3) The results of mixed ecoprint painted batik. (4) The responses of the supervising teacher and students who are members of the extracurricular to the making of mixed ecoprint painted batik at the Khadijah Art Community extracurricular at SMA Khadijah Surabaya.
This study uses qualitative descriptive. Data collection regarding the research on mixed ecoprint painted batik at the Khadijah Art Community extracurricular at SMA Khadijah Surabaya was carried out using observation techniques, interviews, documentation, mixed ecoprint painted batik works, and questionnaires. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity uses data triangulation. Preparation for making mixed ecoprint batik painting was carried out by researchers to compile mixed ecoprint batik painting materials, create media examples of mixed ecoprint batik painting works, and prepare materials and tools for making mixed ecoprint batik painting. The process of implementing mixed ecoprint batik painting in the Khadijah Art Community extracurricular at SMA Khadijah Surabaya was carried out for 5 meetings from August 9, 2024 to September 13, 2024. The first meeting was the delivery of material about painted batik and ecoprint, providing examples of mixed ecoprint batik painting works, dividing groups, and discussing the concept of mixed ecoprint batik painting works. The second meeting was the process of making ecoprints using the pounding technique using a hammer. The third meeting was the process of drawing sketches on ecoprint cloth, and the process of canting batik on cloth using batik wax. The fourth meeting was the process of coloring batik cloth using remasol dye. The fifth meeting was the process of fixing the fabric using waterglass liquid, rolling the fabric, filling out the questionnaire by students, and interviewing the Khadijah Art Community extracurricular teacher.
The results of the mixed ecoprint painted batik works in this research activity were 5 works on 1 meter x 1 meter cloth. There was one group that got a score of 95 which was in the very good category, there were two groups that got a score of 90 which was in the good category, and there were two groups that got a score of 85 and was in the good category. From the results of the mixed ecoprint painted batik works that had been made by the Khadijah Art Community extracurricular students, it can be seen that the students were able to practice creative work with satisfactory results. This research activity received positive responses from both the supervising teacher and the Khadijah Art Community extracurricular students.
